SUNDAY GOSPEL ACTIVITIES

FOR MORE FUN

Tomorrow is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary! The Blessed Mother

has appeared to children all over the world over the past hundred years -

always her message is the same - pray, and specifically pray the Rosary!

Learn about her visits at Lourdes, Fatima and Knock to begin!

The Rosary is a powerful tool  for us in life! Visit FamilyRosary.org to

learn the Mysteries and how to pray the Rosary. By meditating on the

Rosary, we learn the Gospels and come to understand the life of Jesus

Christ in a profound way!

Today is the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We continue to read from

the Gospel according to Luke as Jesus instructs his disciples on

important matters of faith and our salvation.

In this Gospel, the apostles want more - they want Jesus to tell them

how they can have even greater faith! Jesus explains that faith comes

through being obedient to all he has commanded; and that real faith -

total trust in God - is truly powerful! Jesus uses the example of a

mustard seed to illustrate how something so small can grow!

There are a few important lessons here! First, trust God with your

whole heart and soul, and he will not abandon you. He is faithful to

those who are faithful! Second, show your love for God by following his

commandments. Jesus sums this all up in one, "Love God with your

whole heart and soul ... and love one another as I have loved you."

If you already know the Rosary and pray it often, find someone in your

life you can teach this gift to! Maybe a sibling, friend, or family member?
