Hurricane Fran hit Raleigh, NC
Friends came together to help each other.
Friends “SWOOPed” in to clean up.
Then SWOOPers began to reach out to others in the community.
SWOOP acquired 501(c)(3) status in 2001, and the group of 12 has grown to over 1200.
SWOOP volunteers in action helping local non-profits.
