Spirit Week 87 Spirit Week 86 Costume clad revelers struck the Thunderbolt hallways Homecoming week in hopes of pumping up the Thunderbolt pride. Students participated in a variety of themes throughout the week. The themes this year were extreme fans on USA/Husker Day, familiar faces on Character Day, hideous outfits on Fashion Disaster Day, jolly good souls on Holiday Day, and Pius pride on Extreme Spirit Day. Some of the more entertaining costumes ranged from Presidents of America to Leprechauns of Ireland. Superheroes saved the hallways from treacherous monsters with their heroic acts. The silliness throughout the week led up to the anticipated pep rally, put on by the senior class. Many games were played, including a contest between the freshmen and senior football players to see who could rip a frozen t-shirt apart and put it on first. The seniors were victorious, but the competition was fierce. It was an exceptional way to electrify the students. The cheerleaders and the Thunderettes performed. Fall teams were introduced by their captains and advertised student support. Spirit Week was a great way for students to express their unique personalities all while celebrating their true Pius pride.
