With many HUD programs in place, organizations now have the opportunity to obtain funding for affordable housing and community redevelopment programs. This two-day training, hosted by The Performance Institute, will examine and outline available funds and renewed resources from current HUD initiatives that will help stabilize and revitalize communities across the country. It will also examine governmental initiatives that impact grants management.

Housing and Community Development$5.25 billion is being invested into housing and community development under three programs – Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP), Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), and Project-Based Rental Assistance.

Examine the Tax Credit Assistance Program and HOME funds allocated for new and existing affordable housing units

Learn about efforts to upgrade HUD-sponsored housing for low-income, elderly and disabled citizens

Strategize to take advantage of Section 8 housing contracts under Project-based Rental Assistance to provide structural improvements

Combat the rising numbers of homeless community members through the Homeless Prevention program

Encourage active citizen involvement to comply with grant guideline participation and foster a sense of community ownership

Understand specialized programs for the homeless and at-risk members of your neighborhood

Program ManagementPrepare and understand best practices to manage HUD funds, including funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Learn strategies and techniques for program governance and compliance to ensure your program reaches its outcomes.

Cancellation Policy

The Performance Institute will provide a full refund less $50 administrative fee for cancellations four weeks before the event. If cancellation occurs within two weeks prior to conference start date, no refund will be issued. Registrants who fail to attend and do not cancel prior to the meeting will be charged the entire registration fee.

All the cancellation requests need to be made online Your confi rmation email contains links to modify or cancel registrations. Please note that the cancellation is not fi nal until you receive a written confi rmation.

Payment must be secured prior to the conference. If payment is not received by the conference start date, a method of payment must be presented at the time of registration in order to guarantee your participation at the event.
