After attending inquiry sessions and discerning my call to become Catho-lic, it is now time for me to find a parish sponsor. A parish sponsor is someone who will accompany me during these upcoming months while I am pre-paring for the Sacraments of Initiation. If you would be willing to be a companion during this important time of my life, I would be most hon-ored and grateful. Host Families Need for Mater Dei
High School After a successful inaugural year, Mater Dei High School is welcoming new and returning international students for the 2013-2014 school year! As our international population con-tinues to grow, Mater Dei is continuing its search for families to host students from China. Besides the quality, holistic, American education they will re-ceive at Mater Dei, the home stay component will be another cornerstone of ensuring this program’s success. Placing stu-dents with families who love and support Catholic education, and wish to share that can cultivate our students’ understand-ing of the English language and American culture. We invite YOU to be a host. This program allows you and the student to gain rich experiences through the melding of your different cultures. A monthly stipend is provided to offset the cost of hosting a student in your home. If you are interested in the program, please contact our Homestay Representa-tive, Cheryl Carlile at [email protected] or by phone at 714-504-0866.

—Peter Scagnelli, Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
