Sacred Heart Catholic Church Fourth Sunday of Advent ~ December 20, 2020
Reflection from the Stewardship Office:
FIAT
It is said that God will not be outdone in generosity. When you
look at today’s first reading, you see all the promises he
makes to King David. His only request is that David build
a proper house for the Lord to dwell in. Here, we see David’s
Fiat. In the gospel, that Fiat is mirrored in Mary’s words, “May it be done
to me according to your word.” She has agreed to become the new Ark of
the Covenant, and the angel Gabriel has told her of the saving grace that
will come through her son. In both cases, God had giant plans for His
people and relied upon the cooperation of His children to bring those plans
to fruition. The same is true today! As stewards of God’s gifts, let us open
our hearts and let His generosity flow through us!

more en ella.
