Sacred Heart School News... Nominations for Spring Elections for the 2016-2017 school year are now open. Those who are interested in becoming a PTC Officer and/ or those who would like to be a member of the Advisory Council, please see the information below. Written nominations should be given to the school office.
Nominations for PTC Officers should be given in writing to the School Office by April 1.
PTC President shall preside at all meetings of the P.T.C., develop an agenda with the Principal, appoint standing and special committees when deemed necessary to carry out the functions of the organization, assign duties to other officers, develop a yearly calendar of events (in conjunction with other officers, & for approval by the principal and membership), and as an appointed member of the Advisory Council, prepare and give account of the P.T.C. activities at all Advisory Council meetings. The President shall also perform any other duties usually pertaining to this office. The First Vice President shall assume duties of the President in his/her absence during the first semester. In event of a vacancy the Vice president shall succeed at once to the office of President until the next regular election of officers. The Second Vice President shall assume the duties of the First Vice President in his/her absence during the first semester. In the event of a vacancy the Second Vice President shall succeed at once to the office of First Vice President until the next regular election of officers. He/She will assist the President with the planning and execution of all fundraisers. The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of all proceedings of meetings & prepare to present at the next meeting. The Secretary shall also present a written annual report at the last regular meeting of the year. He/She shall perform additional duties as designated by the President. The Treasurer shall be responsible for the counting of money collected from fundraisers and contributions with the assistance of another officer or Principal-appointed person, and present to the Principal for deposit. The Treasurer shall maintain accurate accounts of receipts and expenditures, provide a cash accounting at the general meeting, and provide a written annual report at the last general meeting of the year.
All officers as members of the P.T.C. Board share responsibilities on all special events and fundraisers. The Board also works together with the Principal and shares ideas when planning the year's fundraisers.
Nominations for Advisory Council members should be given in writing to the School Office by April 1.
Advisory Council positions are two-year terms and meet each month (except July). The Council strives to meet on the 3rd Monday of the month at 5:30pm. Their jobs are to advise the pastor and principal in regards to school policies.
If you would like to make a difference at SHS and become involved in either of these two groups, or if you would like to nominate someone, please complete form below & submit to school office by April 1. All nominees must agree to run for the nominated position in order to be placed on either ballot.
