We have five families, dealing with different issues in their lives. As we begin our season of thankfulness, let’s remember those among us

who may need an extra hand.

Our students are doing well, donating $5.00 of their own money to become Harelson Helpers

to our families this year! Many of them are very proud of being able share.

For more information, please see the Holiday Helpers flyer included in this issue of the

Thank you for your generosity and thank you for maintaining our

tradition of being a loving Harelson family!

BOBCAT CODE OF HONOR

We welcome all students to join school activities.

Kind words, thoughts & actions begin with me.

It's not worth arguing over the little things.

Look at the inside of people, not the outside.

Think before you act!

Your mind: use it or lose it.

You and your stuff should be safe enough.

You were born to be your personal best.

Harelson Entrepreneurs’ Club

The Annual Bobcat Artisan Market was a HUGE success, due to the support from our volunteers and community.

The 2016 Harelson Entrepreneurs’ Club would like to thank the Harelson students, teachers, staff and community for their support at the 22nd Annual Bobcat Artisan Market.

E-Club would also like to thank all those who volunteered their time to make this year such a success. Thank you to our grade-level leaders, Randi Weinstein (4th grade), Eudene Lupino (5th grade), John Hartman (6th grade). Parents and Cross students who helped at our weekly meetings include Callie

Azersky, Monica Carlson, Cindy Felix, Karen Hall, Olivia Hall, Paige Hector, Julie Hohman, Christine Horn, Audrey Madrid, Mandy Quelland, and Rose Wilson.

Those who helped behind the scenes include Heather Garcia, Ann Jansen, Barbara Rowland, Cat Schladweiler, and Denise Verdugo. Thank you to all the parents to helped decorate the Fun House stage, set up booths, put out signs, check students in and out, make change, make bank runs to get more change, check business plans, make announcements, provide music, and clean up after the sale. It takes a lot of people to make E-Club and the Bobcat Artisan Market a success and the Harelson

community always steps up to do whatever is necessary.

We’d like to thank this year’s guest speakers, Jenny Ritchie (Owner/Stylist at Trouvaille Salon & Spa), John Aldecoa (Owner of Brother John's Beer, Bourbon & BBQ) and Leah Noreng (Executive

Director of the Amphi Foundation).

We'd like to thank Trader Joe's for providing the paper bags for bundling customer purchases at the Bobcat Artisan Market.

Thank you to Principal Walker for her continued support of E-Club, a Harelson tradition and a tremendous source of Bobcat Pride for our community. We had several customers at the sale who told us how much they loved being part of E-Club when they were students at Harelson many years

ago and they were happy to see it is still thriving.

A special thanks goes out to Rosana Hernanadez for moving tables and coming in on a Saturday to unlock doors and help us clean up after the sale.

Finally, we’d like to extend a very special thanks to Jill Neubert, who knows how to make things happen.

Bring your clothing donations to your school’s office and let them know it’s for the Clothing Bank—our volunteers will come pick up!

This is a wonderful opportunity for Amphi students to help other Amphi students succeed.

Cleaning out your closets in preparation for the holidays and the change of season?

Have your kids grown and their clothes need a new home?

If they’re not wearing it, we know someone who will! The Amphi Foundation’s

Clothing Bank needs your donations of gently used clothing. Last school year we served almost 300 students and so far this year we have distributed over 10,000 items of clothing to Amphi students in need!

Did you know? Arizona law (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows Arizona State taxpayers to contribute up to $200 ($400 for married couples filing a joint return) to a public school and receive dollar for dollar credit on their state taxes. The tax credit is available for contributions, which are earmarked to support a qualifying extracurricular activity. Any taxpayer is eligible for the credit. You don’t have to be a parent.

How does it work? Just send a donation by check or money order to Harelson

School, designated for our extracurricular program or to a specific extracurricular program. You may also specify that your donation is a fee to cover the cost of a specific child’s participation in a specific activity. When you fill out your Arizona tax return, you can subtract the amount of your contribution (up to $400 maximum) from what you owe in taxes for the year. It’s not just a deduction; it’s a credit.

It’s like choosing how you want your tax dollars to be spent.

How does your contribution help Kids? It helps students participate in our extracurricular programs, like sports, the arts, science, music, clubs and other activities that enrich their education and provide them with valuable life experiences. You can specify the program you want to help or let us apply your gift to one with need.

Don’t Wait too long!

For you to be eligible to receive the credit for this year, we must receive your donation by the end of the year.
