• Announced program in Fall 2006.

• Received 5 SOQs. Short-listed 4.

• Eventually moved forward with 2 teams … Missouri Bridge Partners & Team United.

• Rec’d final proposals in November 2007.• Unaffordable … BAFO … MBP selected.

• Credit market meltdown complicated negotiations.

• September 2008 – MHTC directed us to conclude procurement and launch program through alternative means.

Safe & Sound Today

• 802 structures.• 248 identified for rehabilitation.

• Modified Design-Bid-Build. Small packages being let starting tomorrow.

• At least 100 under construction in early 2009.

• 554 identified for replacement.• Design-Build.

• Third of MoDOT’s authorized D-B projects (New I-64, kcICON)
