Users that have to deal with file-based encryption might easily get confused with the various scenarios

where files that are updated render in different encryption states. With the introduction of SafeGuard

File Share in SGN 6.0 we have tried to improve user experience and make encryption results more

predictable. But since it is still not always that easy to predict what's happening to a file in regards of

encryption, the following table shall help to get an overview:

Persistant Encryption and filefilter heuristic enabled

file will be re-crypted

file will retain its status (plain or encrypted)

file will be decrypted or not encrypted

encrypted files are not supported on ignored devices or in ignored folders. File will not be decrypted upon read!
