As welding filters, these lenses filter out all rays resulting from gas welding processes, such as UV rays, IR rays and visible glare. Different protective levels are available depending on the area of application. Welding filters made from polycarbonate with our infradur PLUS coating, provide higher levels of mechanical protection than welding filters made of glass or laminated glass. The risk of damage from welding sparks is also minimised.Complies with norms EN 166 + EN 169.

ucts and technologies. We can already see our efforts paying dividends in

the form of three new intelligent coating systems, which work actively to

provide a solution for every challenge. Yet more proof of uvex’s innovative

power and coating expertise.

Lenses coated with uvex variomatic darken within

10 seconds to provide the wearer with 100 % protec-

tion against UV radiation, and return to their original

tint after 30 seconds – quicker reactions than any

other coating. These lenses are especially suitable for

workers who frequently alternate between inside and

outside work or between light and dark environments.

uvex supravision extreme lenses prevent moisture

from accumulating to ensure a permanent antifog

effect, meaning the lenses cannot steam up. Glasses

and goggles with uvex supravision extreme coating

technology are especially suitable for environments

with high air humidity and condensation.

The antifog effect of the new uvex supravision per-

formance is three times stronger than legally required.

This coating is perfect for sudden exposure to conden-

sation and work environments which demand that

lenses be frequently cleaned. The antifog effect is

permanent.

optidur 4C PLUS combines 4 features in one lens for permanent antifog, scratchproof and antistatic properties plus 100 % UV protection.

infradur PLUS welding lenses protect against ultraviolet and infra-red radiation as well as glare. The coating minimises welding spark damage.

ultradura is an inexpensive coating that gives lenses a good level of scratch resistance and completely absorbs harmful UV radiation.

Individual length adjustment As the shape of everyone’s head is slightly different the fact that uvex safety glasses come with a range of length settings and adjustability, ensures a comfort-able and correct fit for all.

Suitable for use with prescription glasses Overspecs and goggles in particular, must be able to provide a pressure-free fit when worn in conjunction with prescription spectacles. We meet this require-ment by developing suitable designs and using high- quality materials.

Lenses coated with optidur NC are extremely scratch-resistant and are also highly resistant to chemicals. The lacquer system features nano technology, consid-erably increasing its non-stick properties. As a result, water-based and oily marks can be removed effort-lessly.

Lenses coated with supravision NC combine the advantages of optidur NC and optidur 4C PLUS. They are scratch-resistant and non-fogging on the inside, while the outside is extremely scratchproof, resistant to chemicals and very easy to clean thanks to nano-technology, resulting in a top-class coating.

Based on the existing uvex skylite spectacle we have added a conceptually simple, injection moulded TPU frame to significantly increase wearer pro-tection levels, through minimising the risk of particle ingress. The flexible, closed-pore soft compo-nents of the frame enables a cus-tomised, individual fit and are easy to clean to promote long term use.

Through “ADVANCED OPTICS BY SCIENCE”, uvex has initiated an independent research project which focuses on optimal definition and me-chanical protection effects. Our objective is to develop eyewear which provides perfect protec-tion whilst at the same time facilitating perfect vision. CE-certified laser protection from LASERVISION

LASERVISION intends and aspires to offer the world’s best certified laser protection. It’s organic product and market focused research and development programme, complimented by close cooperation with leading glass, plastic and dye manufacturers, guarantees con-tinuous product development opportunities.

All LASERVISION laser safety glasses are CE-certified and conform to either EN 207 or EN 208 norms at the very least. They guarantee not only the minimum required optical density, but also, in standard use, a minimum resistance time of 10 seconds (contin uous wave lasers) or 100 pulses (pulsed lasers) for the wavelength for which they have been approved. In addition, the majority of our standard products even fulfil the stricter requirements of the GS standard.

Laser protection training and participation in European standards committees

LASERVISION, in cooperation with the uvex academy offers a programme of modular courses on laser safety. These feature compulsory annual laser safety training together with special courses for those responsible for laser safety, advanced customised seminars, an internship in laser safety and measuring techniques. Safety Goggles

The intelligent use of ultra modern materials and manufacturing tech-nologies enables uvex to design frames which combine reduced size/volume and high mechanical resistance. uvex carbonvision pro-vides the wearer with unparalled comfort levels despite the very high level of mechanical stability. The TPU layer is permanently fixed to the frame, ensuring a perfect individual fit and it’s easy to clean and maintain. The uvex carbon vision, weighing just 46 gr is un-doubtedly one of the lightest wide-vision goggles on the market, ena-bling the wearer to work for longer periods without the distractions and problems caused by discom-fort, thereby increasing his or her productivity.

The newly developed supra vision extreme coating technology prevent the goggles from steaming up, even in the most demanding condi-tions (see page 18).

uvex carbonvision goggles are rec-ommended for protection against dust, liquid splashes and mechani-cal hazards. The goggles are ideal for wearing with disposable respi-rators and bump caps.
