Firm Commitment
■ To participate:
■ Personal commitment of senior manager/owner
■ Complete application form annually
■ Schedule 1 paying premiums to WSIB
■ Participate for 1 full year
■ Register for only 1 safety group

■ Attend at least 3 meetings
■ Complete Workplace assessment
■ Complete Action Plan, progress reports and year-end reports

Firm Commitment
■ Complete all SG requirements
■ If selected participate in validation audit (10% of firms)
■ Document activities

■ Accept a visit from PSHSA consultant
Sponsor has right to take action if firm is not meeting program commitments

■ Withdraw from group:
■ Within 10 days of the first meeting (no claim history)

Group Validation Audit Process. Firms will be measured against the Requirements Chart.
■ Each Element includes Resources to assist in the development of the standards. They are for reference only.
■ The Requirements chart outlines the minimum requirements. We encourage firms when and if possible to exceed the minimum requirements by incorporating best practices and improving workplace safety culture.
