Famous for its hospitality, Circolo Vela Arco organizes national and international sailing regattas, as well as “get-together dinners”, where the dishes of the local traditional cuisine, accompanied by a good wine, welcome guests very warmly.

The Lega Navale Italiana, a public board under the patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, has the aim to promote the sailing activity. With an almost hundred-years-old tradi-tion exactly 80 years in 2008, Fraglia Vela Riva’s main activity is the organization of sailing events, most of them of interna-tional level. Located in the centre of Riva del Garda.

The Lega Navale Italiana was founded in 1897 in La Spezia – and has been a Public Board under the authority of the President of the Italian Republic since 1975. The L.N.I. aims to promote, in particular amongst young people, the sea attitude, the knowledge of sea problems, the love for the sea and the protection of sea environments and inland waters. The Garda chapter was founded in 1972 and has been affiliated with the Italian Sailing Federation (F.I.V.) since 1977.

The sailing Centre of Brenzone was founded in 1963 and organizes sailing activities, regattas, etc., and is the home of the Technical Center for Sports of CONI. Federation instructors offer courses of basic, intermediate and advanced sailing. Its athletes have represented Italy in 4 Olympic Games: Los Angeles, Seul, Atlanta and Sidney. The activities of the club, which are mainly focused on nautical sports, are very important for the economy of the area, and the sports activities are part of the social life of the community.

FRAGLIA VELA MALCESINE

Malcesine and the Upper Lake Garda are a natural ground for sailing. On the basis of these elements Malcesine has been elected by the Italian Sailing Federation as the official site for training stages of the Italian Olympic Team. Thanks to the co-operation of our instructors, our sailing courses will give everybody the chance to learn the basic rules of sailing in full safety. Upgrade sailing courses and racing skills are also included in our educational programme.
