Worship Thank You Special thanks to all of our singers, ringers, and instrumentalists who helped make our Holy Week services so meaningful. The mu-sic was wonderful! Thanks also to those who did readings during the Maundy Thursday Service and to our Youth for leading the Sonrise Service. Finally a huge thank you to Deanna, Chuck, and Susan for their leadership and many hours of faithful ser-vice. Saint Andrews is so blessed by your gifts!

erty Team joined forces to scrub the Memorial Room from top
to bottom. Walls were washed, blinds were cleaned, curtains were laundered,
every inch of the kitchen was scrubbed , and all of the chairs were cleaned and
tightened. Thank you for making the Memorial Room sparkle!
RUMMAGE SALE THANK YOURUMMAGE SALE THANK YOURUMMAGE SALE THANK YOURUMMAGE SALE THANK YOU
A big thank you to everyone who helped with this year's Rummage
Sale. It's a huge undertaking and we could not do it without the
help of so many dedicated volunteers. Thank you to everyone
who donated items, sorted, organized, and priced items, helped set up, helped with
the sale on Saturday, and helped pack up and clean up. Special thanks to our Rum-
mage Sale Committee Co-Chairs Thalia McGrady and Esther Radvinski for their
hours of hard work, dedication, and their superb organizational skills!

at 4:00 pm You and your family are invited to a special afternoon of worship and fellow-ship on Sunday, May 4th. Join us for the “Blest Be the Tie That Binds” Spring Service and Supper. The service begins at 4:00 pm and will include a hymn sing and Communion. A dinner, hosted by our Deacons, will be served in the Memorial Room following worship. Everyone is invited. Please come!
New Adult Ed Series “Positive Words, Powerful Results” Based on the book with the same name by Hal Urban
People often judge us as Christians by how we act. We live in an ocean of words, but we rarely acknowledge their power to uplift or put down, to in-spire or discourage, to help or hurt. If you want to complain less, compli-ment more, and use words to transform your life and the lives of others, come join Elder Susan Race for Adult Sunday School. Susan is excited to share what she has learned from reading this book. The study will take place the first three Sundays in May. We meet at 9:15 am in the church li-brary. Grab a cup of coffee and come!
Pastor Away Pastor Merry will be on vacation from Monday, May 5th, through Monday, May 12th. While she’s away, Rev. Jim Swanson will be available in case of emergencies. If you have a pastoral care need or concern, please call Danielle at
our church office or Rev. Swanson at Covenant (724-712-1407). Rev. Fred Young will lead us in worship on Sunday, May 11th. Please welcome him. Congregational Meeting
We will hold a brief Congregational Meeting to elect new of-ficers on Sunday, May 25th, immediately after worship. Please plan on attending.
First Sunday Mission Offering on May 6th May’s First Sunday Mission Offering will benefit the Butler County Community Health Clinic, located at 103 Bonnie Drive. The Clinic is a non-profit, community-based volun-
teer organization which strives to provide health and dental care to our unin-sured and income-eligible neighbors, ages 19-64, in Butler County. The needs within our community are substantial. It’s estimated that at least 11, 000 people qualify for care at the Clinic. Those eligible for services are hard-working people, struggling to support themselves and their families, often working two or more jobs. They earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but have no health benefits and cannot afford the high cost of private health insurance.
The Clinic could not function without generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure. More than 65 medical and dental professionals and over 150 volunteers donate their skills and time. It costs about $360 per year to care for one patient; annual Clinic expenses exceed $500,000. Much of the budget is funded through dona-tions.
Please give generously. If you know someone who would benefit from the services of the Clinic, or would like to volunteer your time and skills to work at the Clinic, please call (724) 283-2378.
WHEELCHAIR ESCORTS NEEDED
This month, Saint Andrews is providing wheelchair escorts
so veterans at the Butler VA Medical Center can attend hos-
pital chapel services on Sunday mornings. Four to five vol-
unteers are needed for each Sunday in May.
Volunteers are responsible for picking up the patients on their units
before the church service, pushing their wheelchairs to the chapel,
staying for the worship service, and then returning the patients to
their units. Volunteers should be at the Medical Center by 8:30 am.
The service begins at 9:00 am; you should be finished by 10:15 am.
Please consider giving two hours of your time to honor and assist veter-
ans who have given so much for us. To volunteer, contact Jeanne Wil-
son at 724-282-6095, or call the church office. Thank you!
