EASTER MEMORIAL FLOWERS: You may want to remember family members or friends with a Memorial Easter Flower offering for the flowers that enhance our church during the Easter season. In addition to the envelope in your weekly envelope packet there are extra

Easter Flower envelopes at the foyers of the church. A list of those memorialized will be posted on the church bulletin boards.

GUIDELINES FOR FAST & ABSTINENCE Regulations for the Diocese of Worcester:

Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics fourteen (14) years of age and older on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and all the Fridays of Lent. Fasting is to be observed by all Catholics who are eighteen (18) years of age but not yet fifty-nine (59) years of age on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday. Those who are bound to fast may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength according to one’s needs, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted.

St. Thomas More Law School Scholarship Each year the St. Thomas More Society of our Diocese awards a scholarship of not less than $3000 to a law student attending an accredited law school in the fall. OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thank you to Mrs. Joanne Flathers and Mrs. Pat Draper for their tireless efforts on the fantastic First Communion Retreat this past weekend! The children and parents had a wonderful time! It was especially heartwarming to watch parents working with their child on making the banner they will use to mark their family’s pew on First Communion Day! It’s hard to believe their special day is almost here! - Please continue to keep these children in your prayers as the First Communion Mass on Sunday, April 30 at 1:30PM fast approaches.

1st Reconciliation/1st Eucharist ~ Grade 2 and up ~ Meets this Sunday April 9 with Mrs. Joanne Flathers and Mrs. Pat Draper from 9~10:30AM. THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 9 IS OUR LAST CLASSROOM SESSION.

LOOKING AHEAD: There will be one First Communion rehearsal for parents and

students on Wednesday, April 26 from 7-8PM.

St. Anne’s First Communion Mass is Sunday, April 30 at 1:30PM. Students will arrive in the church at 1:15PM.

There will be a Going Forth Mass on Sunday, May 7 at 10:30AM. Children are invited to wear their First Communion outfits again as the whole parish prays for and welcomes our First Communicants. Following this Mass will be a potluck lunch for the First Communion Families.

As our other classes in Grades 1-8 ended last Sunday, let’s please take a moment to remember in prayer and thanksgiving all those catechists who generously gave their time, talent and treasure to the children of St. Anne’s Parish. Thank you so much for all you did this year!

ST ANNE SPRING SHOPPING BAZAAR: St. Anne Parish will be holding a shopping bazaar as a fundraiser on Saturday, June 24, 8am to 4pm and Sunday, June

25, 8am to 2pm. Please bring any items you would like to contribute (clothing, furniture, any household items, books, linens etc.) and drop them in the entry to the parish hall. We will take any and all items. If you have a larger item and would like help in transporting the item to the church, please call Karla on her cell. Bazaar and would like a receipt for their taxes, please let Karla Reuter know or call the Parish Office. PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY: Meets every Monday at

10:00am in the Parish Hall Conference Room. If you like to knit or crochet, please come and join them at anytime. The beautiful completed shawls are

available for parishioners to take at the Parish Office during the week. Annette Buhsmer, Chair UNITED PARISHES OF SOUTHBOROUGH FOOD PANTRY: Your donations continue to make it possible for us to meet the needs of our clients. Currently our needs are: coffee (regular non-flavored, not instant), snacks (for children to take to school), dish detergent, laundry detergent and toilet paper. As most food items are date sensitive, please be sure that your donation is not out of date. Donations may be left in the foyer of the parish hall. If you know of anyone who could benefit from the Food Pantry, please encourage them to come. Pantry hours (located at Pilgrim Church) are Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. and Fridays from 10-11 a.m. Again, thank you for your continued generosity to the Southborough Food Pantry.
