Offertory Collection - This weekend there is a weekly

collection and a second collection for Repair and Restoration. Next weekend there is a weekly collection only. Festival Appeal, Catholic Accent and Saint Vincent dePaul envelopes may be placed into any collection.

The Sanctuary Lamp acknowledging the Real Presence of

Christ in the tabernacle is burning this week in memory of Steve M. Seman by Sonia Seman.

The Rosary Altar Society May Crowning Dinner will be

held on Tuesday, May 7. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00

p.m. followed by Mass at 5:30 p.m. in the Church and dinner to follow in the Church Hall. The cost of the dinner is $14.00. Please note that the May Crowning is held during the Mass. Please call Amy at the Parish Office (724-836-0690) to make your reservation by Tuesday, April 30.

Save the Date—The Saint Bruno Annual Festival will be

held June 14, 15 and 16. If you are interested in helping in any area and have not yet committed to a certain area of the festival please call Clentin Martin, Festival Chairperson, (724-837-6999) and he will find an area for you to lend your time and talent.

It’s that time of year to start collecting items for the

Festival Booths. You have supported them well in the past and the booths could not exist without your donations. We are in need of gift cards in any amount for the Gift Card Booth (please turn in all gift cards by June 2); new or gently used jewelry for the Jewelry Booth; glasses and mugs for the Dime Pitch; and themed baskets for the Basket Booth.

We are happy and privileged to welcome Justine

Herrle into our parish community. Saint Bruno Parish

is blessed to have witnessed the reception of her

sacraments at the Easter Vigil. May we be a welcoming

support to her as she continues her faith journey with

us. We also thank her sponsor, Emma Sarsfield and

her through the RCIA process.

The Saint Bruno Money Tickets will be distributed after

Masses or you may pick them up at the Parish Office, Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. or on Fridays from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Each family is asked to sell at least 10 tickets. The tickets are $5 each.

Saint Bruno Religious Education Program Saint Bruno Junior & Senior Youth Group News

Our Last Religious Education class was held this weekend. Classes will resume on Saturday,

September 7. A very special thank you to our teachers: Bianca Bodde, Tracy Wilhelm, Charlene Todaro, Elaine

Trentin, Michelle Zulisky, Olivia Zulisky and to our Coordinator of Religious Education Emma Sarsfield we have had a year filled with learning, fun and blessings.

First Holy Communion practice will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 9:30 a.m. in the Church.

Confirmation practice will be held on Tuesday, May 7

at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church.

Vacation Bible School will be held here at Saint Bruno

on June 24 - 27. The theme is The Incredible Race. Watch the bulletin for more information. We need volunteers; please call Emma Sarsfield if interested (724-836-0690).

Save the date for the 100th Anniversary

celebration of Saint Bruno Church. A Mass will be held on

Sunday, August 25

beginning at 3:00 p.m.

followed by a dinner at Rizzo’s Malabar Inn, Crabtree. Tickets for the dinner will be available for purchase beginning

Dear Father Lawrence Manchas,

The Bethlehem Christian Families mission would like to ex-

Saint Paul and Saint Bruno Churches the weekend of April

Bishop Malesic will lead an outdoor service and Eu-

charistic procession for Divine Mercy Sunday, April

28, at 3 p.m. in Saint Clair Park on North Maple Ave-nue, Greensburg. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral on North Main Street.

An Emmaus Retreat will be held for women to explore

Volunteer Clearances

PA State Law and The Diocese of Greensburg

require that all volunteers 18 and older must obtain

the following clearances and trainings

before they volunteer in any capacity:

CLEARANCES (must be renewed

every 5 years):

-Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Check

-Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check

-FBI Fingerprint Clearance or

an Affidavit if you have been a PA resident for 10

consecutive years (must be notarized).

TRAININGS (both need to be completed once):

-Mandated Reporter Training - This training can

be completed in more than one sitting

if necessary.

-Virtus - When you register, please choose

Diocese of Greensburg when asked to choose your

organization and choose Saint Bruno Parish for your

primary work location.

-Diocesan Code of Conduct - Read the entire Code

of Conduct, print, sign the last page and

submit it to the office.

All Clearances and trainings are available

online at www.dioceseofgreensburg.org

under Youth Protection, Protecting Our Children and

PA Child Services. Please contact the Parish Office at

(724-836-0690) with any questions.

Any expenses you incur on your own

will be reimbursed by the Parish.
