he St. Charles County Amateur Sports

Hall of Fame at T.R. Hughes Ballpark

opened in 2002 to honor local athletes

who achieved status in softball, baseball,

horseshoes, bowling or dartball.

Many athletes were Most Valuable

Players, State Champions, or both in

their day, and some went on to become

coaches, managers, umpires and referees.

memorabilia, photos, trophies,

pennants, souvenirs, records and awards

is housed in the 860-square foot building.

Many items show the patina of age, and

the nicks and scars of hard use.

Visitors can see team uniforms, a

wooden bowling ball and bowling pins,

worn baseball gloves from the 1940s

and 1950s, and baseball bats including

a “Powersized” Louisville Slugger and a

wooden cork bat.
