Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

A Prayer of Saint Jerome for Christ's Mercy

O Lord, show Your mercy to me and gladden my heart. I am like the

man on the way to Jericho who was overtaken by robbers, wounded and

left for dead. O Good Samaritan, come to my aid. I am like the sheep

that went astray. O Good Shepherd, seek me out and bring me home in

accord with Your will. Let me dwell in Your house all the days of my life

and praise You for ever and ever with those who are there. Amen.

MASS INTENTIONS

A Guardian Angel Prayer for Friends Guardian Angel, watch over those whose names you can read in my heart. Guard over them

with every care and make their way easy and their labours fruitful. Dry their tears if they

weep; sanctify their joys; raise their courage if they weaken; restore their hope if they lose

heart, their health if they be ill, truth if they err, repentance if they fail.

Are you a

PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING?

Our parish is very committed to supporting you and your family in your journey of faith. Maintaining the buildings and grounds on our parish campus and providing for the salaries of the hard-working staff here who strive to provide the full array of liturgical, catechetical, and pastoral ministries that build up the fabric of our parish community requires your generous ongoing financial support. Our parish receives no out-side financial assistance. And so, in the spirit of good stewardship, please understand your need to support your parish by committing to being a PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING. The status of a PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING is maintained if, a person/family: 1. (a) Has attended Mass and used the contribution

envelopes regularly on Sundays and other Holy Days of Obligation for the past four months, or

(b) Has attended Mass regularly on Sundays and other Holy Days of Obligation over the past four months and be en-rolled in Parish Pay (electronic giving).

2. Notifies the parish office of any changes to your address, phone number, email, marital status or birth/death information.

If you or a member of your family were a PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING in the past, this does not necessarily make you a PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING now. Additionally, simply filling out a registration form and attending Mass regularly (or claiming to) are not sufficient criteria to be considered a PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING. The status of PARISHIONER IN GOOD STANDING is required for the following: 1. To be granted for the privilege of serving as Godparent or sponsor. 2. For those seeking the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion) for children or adults. 3. For couples seeking Marriage Preparation. 4. For those seeking the in-parish rate for religious Education fees, and wedding and funeral honorariums. 5. For those seeking the Pastor’s approval of being granted reduced tuition status at one of our Diocesan Schools. 6. To be granted the privilege of a special Mass, such as celebration of Anniversaries, and as the first step when seeking a Quinceañera celebration. 7. For those seeking the parish’s assistance with immigration

proceedings. Many thanks for your understanding and appreciation of the need for criteria in this area that are objective and measurable. If you have questions, first please talk with God (pray!), and then if necessary, talk with the Pastor.
