Year of Mercy Prayer Prayer of Pope Francis for the Jubilee
Lord Jesus Christ, you have taught us to be merciful like the heavenly Father, and have told us that whoever sees you sees Him. Show us your face and we will be saved. Your loving gaze freed Zacchaeus and Matthew from being enslaved by money; the adulteress and Magdalene from seeking happi-ness only in created things; made Peter weep after his betrayal, and assured Paradise to the repentant thief. Let us hear, as if addressed to each one of us, the words that you spoke to the Samaritan woman: "If you knew the gift of God!" You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God who manifests his power above all by forgiveness and mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its Lord risen and glorified. You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: let everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and forgiven by God. Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of grace from the Lord, and your Church, with renewed enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight to the blind. We ask this of you, Lord Jesus, through the interces-sion of Mary, Mother of Mercy; you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.

Cristiada (Pelicula).

Some think that it nearly destroyed the Church.
Others say that it brought a dying Church to life.

MASS INTENTIONS
Know Someone Who Needs Prayers
There are many times in our lives when we come across
someone who could use extra prayers especially in these
difficult times. As Catholics we know that the most perfect
prayer is the Mass and no other prayer that we say would
benefit them as much. Consider having a Mass said for
your loved ones, living or deceased. Simply come to the
office to pick from many available dates and Mass times.
There is a suggested donation of $10 for each Mass inten-
tion that you request.
2017 Mass Book is now open.
Annulment Information Seminar:
at the Diocesan Pastoral Center,
400 E Monroe St., Phoenix,
November 12, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
This event is an opportunity for
people to find out what they need to
know about annulments and how to
apply. There will be presentations in
both English and Spanish and the
opportunity to ask questions. No RSVP
is required. Staff will be available after
the presentation for individual
questions. All are welcome. Handouts
will be available. No petitions will be
accepted that day. It is a non-
committal event to provide infor-mation only.
