Holidays and seasonal transitions are important times for reflection on what is important in our lives and defining a new path. Consumerism is a major cause of the environmental issues that we face. Recycling is great, but Reducing is best. At this time of year, we are bombarded with advertisements encouraging us to buy gifts and spend money on material things. All of these tangible thing take energy and resources to produce which have long term impact on the environment. Looking for ways to simplify your Christmas?

Awaiting His Presence
Dear Brothers and Sisters, With expectant joy we have prayed together for four weeks as we await the celebration of Christmas and the coming in glory of the Lord. Today’s liturgy turns our attention to Mary. We learn from her that there is no better way to ready our hearts than to serve those around us. May we, through the intercession of Mary, be able to love God by serving one anoth-er, and prepare our hearts for the upcoming celebrations by putting our talents into the ser-vice of those in need. Love you all, Fr. Juan
