Religious Education News By Joan Schenck, DRE • [email protected]

September 15th is our annual Catecheti-cal Sunday with the blessing of all catechists at the 9:30 am Family Mass.

It is also the start of “Children’s Liturgy of the Word,” called CLOW, that children in grades Kinder to 5th can hear the reading in age-appropriate language. Seventh grade and up can help volunteer and earn service hours.

Mrs. Schenck and catechists will be in the vestibule after the 9:30 am Mass with registration forms for Rel Ed classes and Sacraments.

Just a heads up that Fiesta will be coming October 4th, 5th, and 6th and high school youth can help in the Soda/Water Booth for service hours. Every adult working in the Soda Booth must sign a waiver form.

SFC Fall 2019 Scripture Class Starts MondayOur series in the fall will be “MARY: The Bible and the Mother of God” by Brant Pitre, of the Augustine Institute. Classes begin on Monday, Sept. 16th at 7:00 pm in the Church.

Please bring an appetizer, dessert or beverage to share. Free babysitting with RSVP by Wednesday, Sept 18th. Contact Chris and Ann Aguilar at [email protected] or 408-356-7642.

Date Night is a monthly gathering for Engaged and Married Couples offering opportunities to meet other couples, learn about God’s plan for marriage and spend quality time with the one you love. Each month has a different topic, so join us when you can!

Online Giving at SFC and Church EnvelopesIf you were having donation deduction from WeShare that has ended. WeShare does not get any of our donations. You will need to sign up with Faith Direct to continue online giving (or start now!) Online giving is so convenient — this way you can designate your weekly and special donations. Please let Sue Butler know if you we would like to stop getting the regular Sunday envelopes mailed to you. It saves on paper and postage.

If you are a school parent, you will still need to get our regular St Frances Cabrini envelopes so you get credit being an in-parish family and will still need to turn in the envelope at the Mass you attend.

The tournament takes place on Saturday, Oct. 5th at 9:00 am on the SFC

Bocce Ball Courts.

To register your team or to learn

more about this event, please contact Bernard Galvan at [email protected]
