Sacrament of Baptism: The Sacrament of Baptism should be celebrated as soon as possible after birth. Therefore parents should contact the parish office prior to the child’s birth. This will allow adequate time for the necessary preparation of the parents and the Godparents.
Sacrament of Reconciliation: On Thursday’s from 6:15-7:00 PM at St Gerard or by appointment.
First Reconciliation and First Communion, Sacrament of Confirmation: Please contact the Coordinator of Religious Education (María Morales) for more information.
Sacrament of Marriage: Requires at least nine months of preparation before the Marriage. Contact the Pastor, through the parish office, to start the process.
Pastoral Care: Please contact the parish office if you are aware a parishioner sick and desires to receive the Eucharist, Anointing of the Sick or a visit from the Pastor.
Parish Registration forms are available through the office and under the bulletin boards in the commons.

The word, posada, means an inn. To the humble Mexican the re-enactment of the Holy Family's quest for lodgings is a ritual of deep religious significance. The Posadas, which will start on the sixteenth of December and end on Christmas Eve, take place at different houses each night. A schedule will be available the first week of December

NOVENA Our Lady of Guadalupe December 4 - 12 NATIONAL PRAYERS FOR LIFE
St Andrew’s is participating in the National Night of Prayer for Life on
December 8, 2017. This is a beautiful evening of Eucharist Adoration
and prayer for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural
death in solidarity with the churches across the nation. The Blessed
Sacrament will be exposed at 8:30 pm following the 7 pm Mass for the
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception and will end with Benediction
at 1 am. The night will include Gospel readings, the Rosary, Divine
Mercy Chaplet and silent prayer. The hour of solidarity with parishes
across the country begins at midnight. Please prayerfully consider
spending time with our Lord on this night during the Advent season to
pray for the dignity of the human person. Please contact

St Gerard Liturgy Committee is accepting donations for the Christmas Flower fund. If you would like to remember a loved one, living or deceased, please send in the name of the person you would like to honor, whether they are living or deceased and the donation using the Christmas Flower envelope ( or use your own) and place the envelope in the collection basket. Jubilee House Advent Retreat for Mission Parishes An Advent Retreat will be held at the Jubilee House in Abingdon on December 8 & 9. The focus is to encourage attendees to recognize and grow their own relationship with Christ so that you can share joy with others in our parish! Christian Formation will be held
tomorrow November 27 for Youth in
GRADES 6-8 AND 9-12 at 6:30 PM. We begin with Mass; please arrive at 6:15 PM.
There are no Sunday’s classes today for grades K-5. We will
reassume them on December 3rd.

EVERYONE’S catechetical responsibility flows from the waters of baptism. At baptism, all Christians are commissioned to share in Jesus' ministry. This is an essential part of being Christian. To be baptized is to stand as one of Jesus' disciples, ready to do his work. Please act on this responsibility and become a catechist. For new catechists, training will be provided on February 3
