Mass Intentions The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the greatest and most perfect prayer we can offer be-cause it is the prayer of Jesus Christ to the Father. The Mass is the most beautiful gift we can give to oth-ers. Masses may be offered not only for the deceased, but also for the sick, in thanksgiving for favors re-ceived, birthdays, anniversaries, and for any special intention you may have. The donation for each Mass is $15.00. Come to the parish office on 21st Street to reserve your Masses.

Intenciones De Las Misas El Santo Sacrificio de la Misa es la oración más grande y más perfecto que podemos ofrecer, porque es la oración de Jesucristo al Padre. La Misa es el don más hermoso que po-demos dar a los demás. Sharing the Gospel

Simon Peter's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever. Jesus went to her. He

took hold of her hand and helped her up. The fever left her. She felt so good, she

cooked them a nice meal to celebrate. Neighbors brought all of their sick loved ones

to be cured. When we pray today, Jesus still comes to those who are sick and heals

them. He cures through doctors, nurses, medicines, and machines. Think about how

you get ready for a busy day. You eat a healthy breakfast. You wash up and brush

your teeth. Then you get dressed and comb your hair. There's one more thing you

could do to start your day off right. Pray. Find a quiet spot where you can be alone

to talk to God. That's what Jesus did.

Prayer

Jesus, heal my family and friends who are sick today. Amen.

Something to Draw

Draw a picture of yourself praying to God in a quiet place.

Mission for the Week

Each day talk to Jesus ask and be quiet to listen to Him.

Prayer For Vocations Lord of the Harvest, we petition you as you have instructed us to

ask for more laborers to serve in the vineyard of your Church.

You have told us that the harvest is rich and laborers are few

and we experience this great need in the face of the challenge

of the New Evangelization. We ask the Holy Spirit to in-

spire young men and women to seriously consider voca-

tions to the priesthood and religious life. Help all of us to

be effective instruments to encourage and support those

whom you are calling to serve and lead the Church of Brook-

lyn and Queens in the future. Lord, you told the Apostles to

put out into the deep. We ask for the grace and courage to

respond to your call as we pray and work for an increase in

vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life.

We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest,

Amen.

RCIA 2018 If you know of someone who has not received First Communion or Confirmation, or maybe even some neighbors who talk about our parish and have never been baptized, why don’t you come to the rectory office during office hours and fill out the information for us. We will contact them to see if they are interested in coming closer to Christ in the sacraments of the church.

Pray the Rosary for an increase in Vocations

to the Priesthood and Religious Life.
