“Even All the Hairs of Your Head Are Counted”“When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place— What is man that you are mindful of him, and a son of man that you care for him”
The literal meaning of Jesus' sentence, “Even all the hairs of your head are counted” (Mt 10:30), can
raise questions and concern about those who have no hairs. Has God failed counting the hairs of those going bald? Baldness makes it easy. There is no need of being God to do such a job. Anyone can do it as there is noth-ing to count. This is less than a matter of counting, it is a matter of taking care instead. God takes care of us regardless of the color of our hair or the number of hairs we lose every day. Not even the smallest detail of our lives escapes his careful atten-tion. When we sleep, He watches by our side. When death comes, we abide in Him and He in us. Living or dead, we belong to Him. There is no reason to be afraid. As He cares for the sparrows, He is absolutely involved in our everyday lives. When you feel alone, facing challenges; when you see no one paying atten-tion to your need, please remember this word of Jesus: “do not be afraid; you are worth more than many spar-rows” (Mt 10: 31). Faith casts anxieties on God. As long as he cares for us, let us unload our fears unto His strong shoulders. In a challenging moment, it can be hard to accept that God is still present or to see Him working to bring good out of a bad situation. However, when we look at the challenges of our lives with faith, we can see the hand of God at work. He takes care of us in different ways. It is so difficult to explain them all. Beyond our understanding, it is a matter of personal experience and relationship with Him. Bad things can happen but God will never abandon us. In His love for us God never wishes harm to anyone. He feels our pain when we suf-fer. His goodness surpasses this world and involves our everlasting welfare. A narrow view of such goodness prevents us overcoming fear in the time of challenges when God seems to be “absent”. This is what brings many people to fall into doubt, to lose faith and trust in God. “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”. (Is 40: 31). Thus faith and hope crowned with love help us to start enjoying in this life the everlasting welfare of God’s goodness since we came into being.
He has taken care of us from the beginning. He brought us into existence by love. He endowed us with reason to help us navigate through this world. In order for us to avoid bad things and wrong behavior, he granted us ethical reason and free will to choose what is right.Fr. Lambert's column continues on the last page...

Wrentham Knights of Columbus Grocery Pickup/Delivery Service The Wrentham Knights of Columbus is pleased to announce the Grocery pickup service for sen-iors and parishioners in the Wrentham and Plainville communities during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Knights of Columbus will pick up your groceries and deliver safely to your door step. Save 10% on your groceries using a Special discount code. There is no additional cost for the delivery service, as the Knights are providing this charitable service to the seniors and parishioners in need.
There are three Easy Steps to the Grocery Delivery Service: 1. Setup a PeaPod Account. 2. Order your Groceries. 3. Contact the Knights of Columbus to arrange delivery during the following times: Saturday, 9am - 12pm and Sunday,
4pm - 7pm. Overall Process: 1. Parishioners, seniors and their families are requested to set up an account through Peapod for Stop & Shop at Plainville. The
Knights would help set up the account for seniors who are unable to do so by themselves. 2. After placing the orders, the parishioners, seniors and their families send an email to the Knights at wrenthamkocgro-
[email protected] with the day and time of pickup, their phone number, and their address so that the groceries can be picked up and delivered.
3. Please contact Kelly Williams ([email protected], 508-361-0209) or Mark DeLorenzo ([email protected], 201-819-0931) if any parishioner or senior needs help in placing their orders.
To set up a PeaPod Account, please see our website for more information.
Our Pastoral Staff has been working very hard behind the scenes to make First Communion dates a reality! Did you know that 2020 - 2021 has been designated as "The Year of the Eucharist?" What a great year to receive Our Lord for the first time!! Based on the suggestions of Bishop Reed, we have come up with several options for families during this period of social distancing. The best part is that you'll have a chance to choose the date that best fits your schedule. Once families have signed up for their days, I'll send out specific information on the procedures, following all safety protocols as deemed necessary by the CDC and the Archdiocese of Boston. As of now, even our First Communion children will need to wear masks! When we get closer to these First Communion dates, I'll send out videos showing how the host will be dis-tributed and received. (This will help the children and even adults, especially since many folks haven't re-turned to Mass yet.)
Special things about this year's First Communions!! 1. Families have options for the dates. 2. Children will be sitting with their families and
have the opportunity to receive the Eucharist with their families.
3. Mass will be videoed for the first time!
Fr. Lambert's column continues…Above all He has given us the gift of faith through the Holy Spirit who gave us the power to become His adopted children through Jesus, His only begotten Son. Indeed, when we choose doing wrong and become pris-oners of sin and death, He does not leave us alone. He personally came to our rescue through Jesus. Not only did he take care of us by bringing us back to God the Father, but He also opened for us the way to everlasting life in God by dying and rising from the dead. There-fore, He redeemed our original dignity, showing that God has made us little less than a god, crowned with glory and honor (Ps 8: 5). God's care for us is already obvious in the way he made us with the possibility of being in close relationship with Him. It is our duty to live without fear and stay worthy of transforming this possibility into a real com-munion with God every day. If fear comes, call to mind His promise: "I am with you always, until the end of the age" (Mt 28: 20).
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) is be-ing celebrated in the conference room in both Parishes (located in the parish offices). We cannot offer a sani-tized chair or kneeler to each person so you will remain standing (unless that is difficult). Wearing a face cover-ing, you can stand face to face or behind the priest if you prefer. In our collaborative, Reconciliation is of-fered Saturdays 3:00 - 3:45pm at St. Mary, Sundays 9:15 - 9:45am at St. Martha, and other times by ap-pointment.
