My brothers and sisters in Christ, MANY THANKS to all who donated to the different organiza-tions and individual person in need of help this year. I have per-sonally witnessed great acts of generosity on the part of parish-ioners and friends of the parish. Even though we did not have a giving tree, the Saint Vincent DePaul Society worked with the students of Waltham High to distribute gifts to one hundred fami-lies. Healthy Waltham has grown in its outreach to those in need of food. The numbers are not decreasing. WATCH gave away over 600 winter coats on the church property. Our parish donated $500 to Temple Beth Emmanuel to help them start a warming shelter on Sundays for homeless people in Waltham. All of these great works of mercy show how there is good work going on throughout the city. It also shows how our parish is working in partnership with a diversity of groups for the good of the poor and those in need. Without a strong and stable parish none of this would be possible. So thanks to all the parishioners and support-ers of the parish who give and serve all year. Your commitment makes all of it possible. Even with all this goodness produced by the challenges – let us pray for a better 2021. – Fr. Michael FAMILY ROSARY NIGHT Hello, we would like to invite any family, couples, and parishion-ers to join a weekly rosary through Zoom on Wednesday nights at 7pm. For the link, please email [email protected] and we will send the invite. – Evan & Maria Schellinger FEAST OF THE HOLY INNOCENTS – ORGAN MUSIC Fred MacArthur will play the organ at the 12:10 Mass on Mon-day, December 28, joined by well-known tenor, Neal Ferreira. The Organ Prelude for the Mass will begin at 11:30am. The Ro-sary will begin at 11:00am that day and will be prayed for the protection of all children, born and unborn. Sung solos will in-clude Pietro Yon’s Gesu Bambino, Adolphe Adam’s O Holy Night and the Bach-Gounod Ave Maria. Please come if you are able and take advantage of this extra Christmas gift, especially if you have missed hearing the organ sound this past few months. CHRISTMAS COLLECTION THANK YOU On behalf our priests, thank you for your generous support of last week’s Christmas collection to benefit the Clergy Health and Re-tirement Trust. The strength and vibrancy of our communities depend on the health and well-being of our priests. Thank you again for your generosity.

PLEASE PRAY FOR . . . Jose, Sergio, Marta, Dulce, Catherine Nanteza, Fatima, Brian, Mike, Ruth, Ursula, Kathleen, Laura, Frank, Charlie, all the sick and suffering. Note: If you want a name added or removed from the sick list, please email or call the parish office.

END OF YEAR / TAX SEASON Sometimes parishioners like to make charitable contributions at this time of year. Please consider making a tax deductible contri-bution to Saint Mary Parish or the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Thank you for your consideration. HOW TO PUT OUR PARISH IN YOUR WILL After providing for your loved ones, you may want to include the Parish in your will to help assure the future of the Parish. Be-quests are free of estate tax, and can reduce the amount of your assets claimed by the government. You can simply include the following in your will: “I give, devise and bequeath to Saint Mary Parish in Waltham, MA to be used to support the ministry of the Parish”. A bequest can be a dollar amount, property, a percentage of an estate, or part of the residue of an estate. You can also name the Parish as a contingency beneficiary in the event someone named in your will is no longer living. We recommend that a lawyer help in drafting or amending a will.

OFFERTORY Thank you for your generous offering to our parish.

The following was collected during all parish Masses. December 12/13

    Feliz Navidady

    Sinceramente,P. Fernando J. Vivas
