Lord God, the source of all love, the wise plan of your providence has brought these
young people together. As they prepare themselves for the sacrament of mar-
riage and pray for your grace, grant that, strengthened by your blessing, they
may grow in their respect for one another and cherish each other with a sin-
cere love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

40 Days for Life ~ September 25, 2020
Would you be willing to pray for one hour?
40 Days for Life is a unique pro-life effort that consists of 40 days of prayer, fasting and peaceful vigil in front of
abortion clinics. The Grand Rapids campaign will be in front of the Heritage Clinic at 320 E. Fulton, the only
abortion clinic still operating in our community. Dozens of area churches have adopted a day of prayer. Our
parish family has chosen Sept 25 to fill in the time slots to pray to end abortion and close the Heritage
abortion clinic in Grand Rapids? Contact Lisa Potts 616-723-3213 or [email protected] sign up or for
more information. We will need 2 prayer volunteers from 7 am till 7 pm throughout the day. This is a
powerful and proven effective way to close abortion centers and show the Mother's that we are praying and
thinking about them and their babies. Please consider a hour of your time on Sept 25. Thank you for your commitment to LIFE! God bless! www.40daysforlife.com/GrandRapids. (pictures from past events)
Wedding Anniversary Mass
Together with your families, the Diocese of
Grand Rapids honors the faithful witness to
your vocation of marriage and wishes to
celebrate with you. Bishop Walkowiak will be celebrat-
ing the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday, October 11 for the
intentions of all couples in the diocese celebrating mile-
stone anniversaries this year. Because of the current
situation, we are asking couples to attend Mass at their
own parish that day or to participate from home by
watching the regular broadcast of the televised Mass
on FOX 17 or the livestream on the diocesan Facebook
page. If you would like your marriage to be included in
the Mass intention, please RSVP by calling your parish
office.
Free Virtual Conference for All Grand
Rapids Diocese Catholics in September

about our relationship with Christ when times are good?
Join the diocesan office of Pastoral Services and Catholics
throughout the diocese as we learn how to deepen that
encounter with the Lord. The virtual conference will take
place from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sept. 26. Featured presenters include Katherine Angu-
lo of the University of Notre Dame’s McGrath Institute for Church Life and Dr. Hosff-man Ospino, associate professor of theology and religious education and department
chair at Boston College’s School of Theology and Ministry. Registration is free! View
the day’s agenda, presenter information, and register online at
