The CCW’s Rummage Sale is coming soon. Please drop off useable items at the rotunda August 9th-12th between the hours of 8am-4pm. Electrical appliances in working condition, clothing, housewares, holiday decorations, jewelry, camping/recreation gear, home decorations, tools, and anything else useable will be accepted. Computers and televisions will not be accepted. The dates of the Rummage Sale are Friday, August 13th, 8am-4pm and Saturday, August 14th, 8am-3pm. Shop a little and support the CCW. You are invited to claim any unsold items at no cost between the hours of 3pm-3:30pm the final day of the Rummage Sale.

The DDD appeal has been part of our community since 1966 helping support our Diocese throughout Utah. Just look around and see priests like Father Joseph Delka, Father Sam Dinsdale, Father Oscar Picos, and Father Stephen Tilley, to name a few, who are our pastors because DDD helped to pay for their seminarian education. the DDD currently helps fund the education of eight seminarians? Without DDD these men would not be able to continue their education and ultimately become priests in our Diocese. Seminarian Tristan Dillon will become our priest in 2022 thanks in part because of your gifts to DDD!

2021-2022 Christian Formation Registrations We are excited to be able to offer Christian Formation classes for Sacrament formation in-person this coming fall. All other formation years will be offered on-line. If your child was registered last year or the year before, they are already pre-registered for this fall and a letter was sent to you with all the instructions. Please look in your mailboxes. If your child is new to Christian Formation, please come to the Parish Office to pick up a registration form during normal office hours (8:00 am –Noon and 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday). Please bring with you, your child’s Birth certificate and paperwork for any Sacraments they have received.

Classes begin Sunday, September 12th, 2021

first two weeks of class.

Si su hijo(a) fue inscrito el año pasado o el año antepasado, ya está pre-inscrito para las clases de este otoño y se les ha enviado una carta a sus hogares con todas las instrucciones. El Papa Francisco declaró el cuarto domingo de julio como el Día Mundial de los Abuelos. La fecha ha sido elegida por la cercanía al memorial litúrgico (26 de julio) de los Santos Ana y Joaquín, abuelos de Jesús. La fecha de la conmemoración cae dentro de la semana dedicada a la concientización sobre el PFN (Plan Natural de Familia por sus siglas en ingles) y las enseñanzas de la Iglesia que apoyan su uso en el matrimonio. Las fechas de la Semana del PNF se eligieron en primer lugar debido al aniversario de la Humanae Vitae (25 de julio) y la fiesta de los Santos Ana y Joaquín (26 de julio). Estas celebraciones enfatizan la naturaleza del matrimonio, el papel de los esposos, a quienes se les confía el don de la vida y la salud de la familia. Por consiguiente, es conveniente que todas las celebraciones de la Semana del PNF incluyan una reflexión sobre el ministerio vital que desempeñan los abuelos en la vida de sus familias. El sacramento del matrimonio simboliza la relación de Cristo con su Iglesia. ¿Qué es esta relación? ¡Sino un amor generoso, sacrificado, apasionado y fecundo! Cuando los matrimonios viven su vocación según las enseñanzas de la Iglesia, especialmente en lo que se refiere a la transmisión de la vida, se pueden recibir muchos beneficios. Pope Francis declared the fourth Sunday in July as World Day for Grandparents. The date has been chosen to be near the liturgical memorial (July 26th) of Saints Anne and Joachim, grandparents of Jesus. The date of the memorial falls within the week devoted to raising awareness of NFP and Church teaching which support its use in marriage. The dates for NFP Week were first selected due to the anniversary of Humanae Vitae (July 25th) and the feast of Saints Anne and Joachim (July 26th). These celebrations emphasize the nature of marriage, the role of husband and wife who are entrusted with the gift of life and the health of the family. It is therefore appropriate for all NFP Week celebrations to include reflection upon the vital role that grandparents play in the lives of their families. The sacrament of marriage symbolizes Christ’s relationship with His Church. What is this relationship but one of generous, self-sacrificing, passion-filled, and fruitful love! When married couples live their vocation according to Church teachings, especially regarding the transmission of life, many benefits can be reaped. Indeed, married couples who use Natural Family Planning (NFP) report that the benefits include growth in: understanding and appreciation of their fertility; emotional maturity—especially in their spousal communication; holiness; and respect for God’s gifts for married love.

Fr. Clarence will be on vacation from July 5th to July 30th not including weekends for prayer, rest and relaxation. Fr. Clarence will be celebrating all the weekend Masses and there may be Communion Service for some weekdays, please check the bulletin for the schedule. There will be no Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament & Benediction on Wednesday mornings for the month of July.

Bethlehem Wood Carving will be here at Saint Rose of Lima Parish on Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st to sell olive wood carvings from the Holy Land. Proceeds from the sale will be used to support more than 600 Catholic and Christian families in Bethlehem. They make a great gift for your loved ones.
