the new pastor and the upcoming changes. Adoration includes songs for meditation, a short reflection, and

intercessory prayers ending with Benediction. All Are Welcome!

Operation Pet Therapy Join our parish as we collect stuffed animals that are given to all the residents of Salemhaven. Stuffed animals can be dropped off in the Family Room at St. Joseph campus and in the vestibule at Mary Queen of Peace campus. Please, donate only NEW or VERY GENTLY USED stuffed animals. They must be brought to the parish by March 18th. We will not save any that are dropped off after that date. Thank you for making the residents of Salemhaven smile.

Encounter Lent through CRS RICE BOWL: ENCOUNTER MAJD In Iraq, we encounter Majd and his family, people forced to flee violence, searching for stability. How are we called to welcome the stranger in our midst? How can you support those, worldwide, who are forced to flee their homes to find safety or better opportunities? Visit crsricebowl.org for more.

Family-to-Family Easter Basket Project On the weekend of March 3 & 4 we will giving out information after all Masses for families that need to be adopted for Easter meals. The information will include family size and suggestions of items to include in the basket. If you would like to adopt a family and you know you will be away that weekend, you can email Justine Dufour at [email protected] and the family info will be emailed to you. All baskets need to be dropped off at Mary Queen of Peace on Saturday, March 24th between 9 – 11am. Thank you for you continued generosity and giving spirit!

Youth Happenings

What’s Happening at KidsChurch February Finds Us “Giving Our Hearts To Jesus” Our Heartprint Prayer Circle focus last Sunday was on Helping. When we use our hands to be helpful (picking up toys, shov-

eling snow etc..) we have a very happy feeling inside of us and the person/people that we help are happy too! Jesus helped many people and we are all special helpers just like Jesus! The little ones went on an AMAZING ad-venture with Moses and witnessed one of the most spec-tacular events in the Bible. Yes, we watched as God as-sisted Moses in parting the Red Sea (Red Balloons on top of a pink tablecloth) and we were able to walk through before Pharaoh and his army could reach us. After the Israelites saw the mighty power of God, they put their faith and trust in God and in His servant (helper) Moses. To illustrate how God is always with us

to help us, the little ones (assisted by Miss Dawn) walked on two dozen eggs (not hard boiled) without breaking any! We trust God to help us and lead us in the right direction!

KidsChurch & Toddler Time with Jesus We are looking for additional adults and teen volun-teers to help staff this service during the 9:30 Mass at MQP while parents are freed up to celebrate Mass knowing their children are being cared for. We specifi-cally need a volunteer for the 3rd Sunday of every month as well as the occasional 5th Sunday of the month! Is God calling you?!!! Please contact Sue Levesque at the parish office to learn more.

A girl with Down syndrome got up during a regular papal talk, and went toward the Pope. The security men quickly moved in to take her back to her mother. The Pope stopped everyone and said to the girl, "come sit next to me.” The girl then sat down near him and the Holy Father continued to preach while holding hands with the little girl.

Parking at St. Joseph Campus

Rick Dewhirst, the Goundrey-Dewhirst Funeral Home direc-tor, generously allows us to use his parking facilities, but being a 24/7 operation, he needs access to the building doors and to the handicap spaces at all times. Let us respect the needs of our kind neighbor, and park only in his lined, regular spots. Thank you!

Helping Local Fire Victims Isaiah 58 NH is partnering up with Mercy Day-center and Salem Schools to help victims of the recent fire in Salem NH which dislocated a number of families. Beginning February 14, our website www.Isaiah58nh will have more information. Thank you for your support and generosity!

The psalms and scriptural texts laid out for Lent mark a pilgrimage through time rather than space, walking us through the high points of God’s relationship with His people. They encourage us to explore the history of our own relationship with God. Where have I missed the markers on the way, and what experiences have taken my breath away?

The ropes along the side walls at both churches symbolize our own journey of Lent. With its ups and downs, accom-plishments and setbacks, we strive to-ward the victory of Easter so we can celebrate the Resurrection.
