Education & Outreach Update
It’s here! The time has arrived for the long-awaited My Hope America with Billy Graham event! It is his desire for all people to hear the truth of the Gospel.
Over the past several months, he has been working with a video crew in his home to film a brand new telecast that will air beginning Novem-ber 7—his 95th birthday—on FOX News Channel at 9 p.m. Central, TBN at 7 p.m., and other Christian networks, and also on local TV sta-tions in a number of cities. It's a tremendously powerful program that has his message interwoven with captivating testimonies of lives changed by the living Christ.
If you’re unable to watch it on TV, you can request your own DVD, free of charge and free shipping at MyHopeWithBillyGraham.org/Programs and enter promo code MHAAZ3CL or by calling 1-800-801-3953.

New Year’s Eve Survey I would like to see if we have enough interest to have a church wide New Year’s Eve Watch Party this year. I know that several mem-bers have annual celebrations so we’ll see if there would be enough participation. If you would be interested in attending or help in planning a New Year’s Eve Party, please let Kathy know by email at [email protected].
JASON SNACKENBERG, Minister of Students
Do you know that George Washington sometime before he was 16 transcribed all 110 rules of civility & decent behavior in company and conversation? I didn’t even know there was such a thing and after read-ing them I’m fairly certain they haven’t been around for some time, because not many are followed these days. There are many in these rules that are not followed such a, “Sleep not when others speak”, I preached enough to know #6 isn’t followed much anymore. My favorite by far is the last one # 110, “Labor to keep alive in your Breast that little spark of Celestial fire called Conscience”.
We all have a conscience; we all know right from wrong, however some choose to listen and some choose to ignore it. Our conscience tells us we need to forgive people, however our human pride says hold on to that anger! Our conscience tells us to share Christ with that person however our human fears tell us, “NO, you will be rejected”.
We have all been given a God fearing God honoring conscience that will direct us in the way we should go; we just need to act on it. So much of our life, unfortunately is directed by our own human understand-ing and what man says is right. When was the last time you let God truly make a decision for you in your life, not just a “I prayed about it” but really did it, decision. When was the last time you went to God’s word for a tough decision, went to good Christian friend for advice, and truly prayed for God’s direction?
Don’t you think it’s time as a nation, as a church, as an individual, we got on our knees and allowed God to shape our conscience to His
Let God take shape in your life.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
NOVEMBER 1 6:30 AM “OPERATION NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP”
The 6th annual “Operation Neighborhood Clean-up” will be held on Friday, Nov. 1st throughout the Rolla community in designated, high priority areas. The selection of these properties will be determined by the City of Rolla Police Department and the Rolla Area Ministerial Alli-ance.
All volunteers are asked to attend the welcome gathering at 6:30 a.m. at Greentree Christian Church Youth Center located at 801 East 10th Street. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided. The clean-up will take place from 7 a.m. to 12-noon.
The entire community is invited to participate in this beautification effort, which is once again being coordinated by the Rolla Area Minis-terial Alliance and the Rolla Police Department.
Operation Neighborhood Clean-up is an opportunity for residents to partner with the Rolla Area Ministerial Alliance, community churches, and the Rolla Police Department to enhance a sense of community, well being, pride and property values among the neighborhoods where the clean-up is conducted.
The clean-up effort will involve limited tree trimming, hedge trim-ming, and the removal of brush piles, leaves, household items and trash. Groups or individuals interested in volunteering may contact Chris Foster, Adult Education Minister at Greentree Christian Church, at 308-6387 [email protected], or Sergeant Vince Giacolone at the Rolla Police Department at 308-1213, [email protected].
