The SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE, held every April,

remains the world’s most important design fair. It leads the way

in furniture design, both from Italy and abroad, showcasing the

innovations that will soon be shaping interiors across the globe.

With an increasing presence, which is second only after Italy,

Spain has been completing and enriching the Salone’s offer since

1996 with its diverse array of furnishing products, design

items and styles.

This year, the group of Spanish companies, which has made a

contingent of 53 firms -the second largest after the host

country-, has covered a surface of more than 6,400 sqm in the

three style sectors –Classic, xLux, Design-, and in the

Workplace3.0, which has run alongside.

Rich in style and products, the offer has been more attractive

than ever, including the most sophisticated haute décor and

appealing traditional furniture, inspiring and stylish proposals for

indoors and outdoors, innovative design items –fruit of the

collaboration with internationally renowned designers-, lounge

and contract products, new cutting-edge furniture for

contemporary workspaces and public spaces. All products reflect

the passionate and emotional approach of the Spanish furnishing

and design industry that aims at meeting different tastes, needs,

trends and even, why not, cultures.

MITHOS collection. José Vicente

Puchades. This new collection proposes

a reinterpretation of the classic style that

combines great designs with modern

functionalities. The emotional impact is

ensured by the selection of

manufacturing processes and materials,

all inspired by nature.

The rustic look of oak veneers tinted

with natural colours as well as the

accurate choice of wood and metal

finishes, in satin chrome or brushed

gold, have resulted into pieces that

stand out for their uniqueness and

refinement.


MASTER dining chair. Alexandra

Design Studio. Beautifully crafted by

COLECCIÓN ALEXANDRA artisans, this

original design juxtaposes beech legs

in different wood stain colours and a

refined wraparound upholstered shell.

The outside-back comes upholstered

in fine engraved leathers with stainless

steel detailing.

WIND dining table. Alexandra Design Studio.

With its avant-garde aesthetic, this awesome

table collection preserves all the exclusiveness

the brand is renowned for. Available in 2 sizes (2

bases: 230x130x75H; 3 bases: 345x130x75H), the

WIND dining table plays with volumes and

aerodynamic forms. The wood veneered top is

offered in two different shades, Albino or

Tobacco, while the iron base can be finished: ice

effect white, silver or black.


A grand master of French style,

CREACIONES FEJOMI creates pieces that are

real works of art and that impress for the

profusion of noble woods, select veneers,

precious marquetry and amazing bronze

details.

In an elegant Louis XIV style, the new

exquisite dining and living rooms,

bedrooms and office furniture are the

epitome of luxury and opulence. Made of

solid beech wood, they feature intricate

marquetry works in up to 7 different noble

woods, such as rosewood, American walnut

and the elm burl, heavy carvings and

precious handcrafted golden brass

ornaments. Floral references dominate in its

in-lay decorations that play with different

colours to enhance the charm and

refinement of pieces.


EBONY collection. It is a line of

exclusive furniture that conveys

all the luxury appeal, refinement

and glamour that are the

hallmarks of the brand.

It now includes more than 40

unique designs all of them

featuring the most exquisite

finishes and materials. Each

piece is a real work of art, hand

finished by in-house expert

craftsmen who master unique

woodworking techniques.

Veneers are made of ebony and

bird-eye maple and are

embellished by high-gloss black

lacquers and precious gold leaf

details.


CENTURY Collection. Refined and exquisitely crafted,

CENTURY features a subtle combination of

contemporary lines and classic styles, with some bolder

accents that add intrigue and sophistication to the

décor. The geometric patterns, the natural elements,

such as steel, marble and glass, the precious fabrics and

velvets, the mirrors, the Baroque-inspired ornaments and

the use of contrasting colours, such as the neutrals with

black matt lacquers, keep the scheme sophisticated and

chic while adding an urban vibe to glam ambiences.

New additions include the new creations by José

Vázquez for the brand. Available in different colours and

sizes, the H5502017 coffee tables and the M20171

cabinet combine lacquered wood with wrought iron and

are suitable for both home and contract use. The Z8092

sofa stands out for its impressive look that never goes

out of style. The piece is embellished by the attractive

fabrics and by the refined nailhead trim that decorates

the slightly roll out arms. The sofa can come upholstered

with fire retarding materials if required.


VERMONT collection NEW!

SOHO Collection. With its elegant classic

contemporary design, SOHO is characterized by

innovative shapes and luxury materials that add

understated luxury to ambiences. Geometrical

volumes are softened by a profusion of soft,

sweeping curves that make spaces less formal

and more intimate.

The collection is available in 22 finishes such as

the lacquers (matte, satin and three different

levels of sheen) and a choice of wood that

includes walnut, maple, oak, mahogany,

rosewood and ash wood roots. Marble tops,

leather and brass are used in large measure to

keep schemes sophisticated and add further

interest to ambiences. The colour palette is very

subtle, with an emphasis on cream, ivory and

bright grey.

SOHO bedroom. In natural wood or lacquered,

the SOHO bedroom is pure contemporary

refinement. It features a stunning king size bed

with upholstered headboard and beautiful brass

accents on feet, bases and handles. Bedside

tables can be chosen completely wood veneered

with brass detailing or with marble tops and

leather fronts for a cooler touch.


NANTES Collection. Sergio Pérez. With its great elegance and style the NANTES collection reflects the contrast

between sober volumes and delicate, eye-catching ornaments and lines. Pieces are embellished by marquetry and

bronze ornaments that blend perfectly with the delicate oak burl veneer. The fine design and the sinuous lines of

the chairs evoke the feminine side of the collection, a variation induced to delight the eye. The collection has been

extended to include a new three-seater sofa and a complete bedroom.

TRIBUTE TO GIO PONTI Collection. Caterina Licitra Ponti. This

new collection comes out of this intriguing marriage between

craft and industry, Italian mid-century style, modernity, global

vision and the young verve of Caterina, great grand daughter of

Italian master Gio Ponti. It consists of 8 pieces: dining table, chair,

armchair, coffee table, pedestal table, cabinet, chaise longue, and

sofa. Pieces are manufactured with noble materials such as the

Makassar ebony, sycamore, aluminium, steel, glass, marble-like

ceramic, alabaster and luxurious fabrics.


FORTUNE collection NEW ITEMS!

PANAMAR offers a full range of well-made home furniture for living and dining rooms, bedrooms, entrance

halls and home-office, plus a series of occasional furniture, such as shoe cabinets, mirrors, coat stands, that

complements the home décor adding functionality to spaces. Materials are varied in tone and colours and

include structure in solid beech wood and a choice of different warm veneers, such as the cherry, walnut or

mahogany, and lacquers. Pieces come discreetly embellished by beautiful marquetry on the fronts, doors and

table tops. Fine carved decorations have been added to legs and edges and beautiful bronze handles and

knobs to doors and drawers for a more sophisticated and refined feel. New additions to the catalogue include

matt white lacquered dining and living room furniture with top made of natural oak.


EARTH collection. Handcrafted by

expert craftsmen, EARTH stands out

for the use of noble materials and the

great attention to details. Inspired by

the beauty of nature, the collection

comprises an elegant sofa, a display

cabinet, a sideboard and a large

dining table with luxurious, refined

chairs. Pieces are made of walnut

veneers and enhanced by perfect

high gloss finish and bronze detailing.

The handles, which are made of cast

bronze, evoke the branches of trees.

The large dining table, with a top that

highlight the beauty of wood grain, is

complemented by chairs upholstered

in nubuck leather with an elegant nail

head trim décor.



FORTUNE Collection. Featuring a sophisticated design, clean lines and well-proportioned volumes, the

collection is now available with a complete range of pieces for different ambiences: sofas and armchairs,

bedroom and living room programmes, dining room sets, coffee tables, chest-of-drawers, wardrobes and bar

cabinets. All the furniture is made of the finest materials, such as leathers and noble and exotic woods (iroko,

zebrano, walnut), and finished with fine lacquers and attractive fabrics and velvets. With its turquoise and beige

tones, the new 4228 bedroom is totally inspired by nature and the relaxing Mediterranean atmospheres. The

upholstered headboard features an intriguing design made of hexagons that recalls a honeycomb.


PRISMAS collection. A sophisticated line of living and dining furniture made of natural Makassar ebony

and white pommele with stainless steel details that accentuate its sophisticated look. The reverse diamond

match of the Makassar ebony veneer creates a stunning effect on the front of the spectacular sideboard,

whose beauty is also enhanced by the contrasting wood and the refined diamond-shaped handle. The

precious dining table, one of the latest addition to the collection, makes a big statement with its fabulous

top and the robust base with glam accents.

ALPHA Collection. While staying true to the

artisanal values of the brand, the new ALPHA

collection has a strong contemporary look. In

its design, straight and curved lines combine

with noble wood, high gloss lacquers and

stainless steel details that enhance the

beauty of pieces and their charming appeal.

The sophisticated look of the new bedroom

is accentuated by the selected wood veneers,

the high-gloss lacquers and the stainless

steel details. The almost unnoticeable bases

add lightness to the look. It is complemented

by a beautiful oval-shaped chest-of-drawers.

The new bookcase is made of selected

Spanish walnut veneers finished in high-gloss

lacquers to enhance even more the natural

beauty of wood.


FLORENCIA Collection. Like all VICENTE ZARAGOZÁ’s collections, the new FLORENCIA bedroom is hand-

lacquered, with intriguing marble and brush effects, and decorated with designs in gold and silver leaf. To

ensure a uniform finish across a whole set of furniture (bedroom, dining-room, etc.), each order is lacquered as

one set, so that the tone and effects will be as similar as possible everywhere in the set. In both wood veneer

and lacquer, each item is individual and unique, due to the difference in the details of the inlay designs or the

lacquer finishing.

PRAGA Boiserie.

Meticulously

handcrafted by master

artisans by inlaying the

ash veneer with noble

wood, such as olive

and pear wood, this

outstanding boiserie is

available for living

rooms and also for

offices. Gold leaf

decorations are also

possible on demand.


Final figures for 2016 indicate that Spain’s exports of furniture have increased by

+11.1% over the previous year’s figures, amounting to 2,064 million euros at the end

of the year.

Rich in styles and ranges and with a unique emotional approach, Furniture from Spain

has consolidated its presence in four EU countries: France, Portugal, Germany and the

United Kingdom, which rank 1st to 4th among Spain’s major markets and concentrate

almost 50.3% of total exports.

According to the most recent World Furniture Outlook 2017, released by CSIL (Centre

for Industrial studies, Milan, Italy, March 2017), the major furniture importing countries

are the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and France. Spain’s exports to

have increased in all major markets revealing Spain’s firms ability to maintain

competitiveness in terms of quality/price ratio and to diversify their markets.

Amounting to 85 million of euros, exports of Spanish products to Italy (+23.3%), the

host country of the Salone, have registered encouraging increases for three years in a

row, after years of negative results. The cisalpine country is now the 6th biggest

partner of Spain with a market share of 4.1% over the total.

Significant increases have also been registered in exports to America: the U.S.A.

earned the 5th position in the ranking with imports of Spanish furniture growing by

+18.4% to 98.2 million euros, while the Mexican market ranks now 9th, registering a

slight increase (+0.8%) and totaling 60.6 million euros. Good results have also been

obtained in Morocco (+12.3%).
