We all are surrounded with many persons, who love us,
pray for us, care for us and guide us to reach beyond
who we are. We are living in an era, where we used to
watch super Heroes movies, but they say super Heroes
does not exist in real life. I disagree with them. We are
surrounded with so many super heroes that inspire us in

I exactly remember the Date it was 28th December 2015 ,
the day I got selected in campus Interview conducted in
D.Y.Patil Institute, pune and probably the most happiest
day of my life. Actually the day I remember to be the
happiest one for my mom, dad and my brother. And with
roomies, we party hard that day, we celebrate, we dance,
we roam and we had our booze. That particular day I
actually realized the responsibilities, the obligation, the
liability towards my home and my family. And that day I
missed her a lot. That particular day I really wanted her
to be with me and to celebrate with me and to do the
craziest things with me. But, …..

Chapter 1
W It was not all started with this, it was the day I was in my
college probably in the third year of my bachelors in the
year 2012 but we hardly know each other at that time. It
was the time of our college fest and I was supposed to
host the Quiz Competition. I and Harsha were hosting
the event. We had a quiet of rehearsal together and
suddenly day before the event I heard that she met with
an accident and it was not possible for her to attend the
event. She badly broke her left leg, she got fractured and
doctor advised her not to move for at least 15 days. So
now what, I anyhow need a co-partner for the event as it
was one of the most prestigious event of Padm Dr. D. Y.
Patil Institute and it was like ritual in the pune
university, That D.Y had to conduct the event since all
the members of universities, all the reputed professors of
nearby colleges were supposed to be present. I called
Harsha
Karan : Soo abb…. Kya kare
Harsha : I know.. but I hardly move. I cant walk.
Karan : kai nai.. you will be fine.. dont worry
Harsha : Hmm… but hosting ka kya kare abhi
Karan : Arey.. jugad karta hu kuch.. tu bhi try karr

Harsha : Zoyaaaa……
Karan : Whatt…. Zoya, tere roomie….. no ways…
Harsha : Kyun.. whats the problem..????
Karan : Arey I hardly talk to her…. I will not be
comfortable …. And waise bhe.. she used to hate me.
Harsha : Aisa kuch nai hai…. I know you… tu
sambhal lega…. You will handle the situation.. I am sure
for that… toh mein Zoya ko bol dete hu…haaan
Karan : Koi aur option nahi hai….
Harsha : NO
Karan : OK
I don‟t know maine okey kyun bola. I hardly know
her and we used to hate each other. I don‟t know why,
but I know she hate me. And I don‟t understand the
reason for hating me. Common Karan, you are a
champ.. mein kyun itna soch raha hu…
Next day I was in college and I called Harsha :
where is she…???? You know naa , the event is today
itself..
Harsha : Haan… shes on the way… but usse acche
se samjhana tu…. I know You both gonna rocks..
Karan : Haha…. Heyy I can see her.. chal bye… tc
Hmm….I was talking to myself…. There she is in a
green top. I don‟t want to reveal but haann she‟s looking
pretty in her outfit…. But I stopped myself and recollect
all the things what I had to say her, what I supposed to
guide her…. And she was already here…
Karan : Heyyy….. hii Zoya… I am gonna call you
only
Zoya : Heyya…aa
Karan : Sooo…. You know what we have to do…
Zoya : I guess… Quizing…. ( she replied with her
childish expression and with her enlightened eyes)
Karan : Haha… right….
Zoya : Hehe…. So what am I supposed to do…
actually Harsha didn‟t guide me.. as I was out last night

and we didn‟t get time to talk on this… she directly told
me to talk to you..
Karan : Yeah.. no problem… listen I will tell you…
we have total of five rounds… from which you take
round two and round four.. and the final round will host
together…
Zoya : Okey… that‟s fine…
Karan : Let‟s do it…..
Zoya : Yeah…. You and me…. Karan and Zoya…..
At that time I don‟t know that these Names together
“Karan and Zoya” will go a long way. These two names
together have some stories, these two names together
have some analogy. Actually destiny plays their own
role in some stories.
And the event of hosting was successfully been
undertaken by both of us and we together were
exceptionally good… yeah….. friends accompanied our
onstage chemistry either.
Next morning, a message from an unknown number
pinged on my whatsapp.. and it says “ Heyyaa”….
I was in my blanky very tired to see even on the
screen but the Red Pop-up light on my nexus-4 didn‟t
resist me to look at that…. I have a habit of checking all
the updates over the top screen first rather to open it
directly… and from that I gotta see that some unknown
number have to say me “Heyyyaaa….” And I was too
lazy too open that msg…. After that I become busy in
my stuffs that I actually forgot to reply, but during my
shower I realized that I had some message on my
whatsapp. I was wondering who pinged me and that too
in early morning. Yes I exactly remembered the time it
was 4:15 am. Actually we guys have certain tendency of
fanaticizing the things and that too from the unknown
numbers. I was wondering kisne message kiya hoga….
„Kisssi ladki ka hoga‟…. Tighing my towel around and i
blushed….

I opened my whatsapp and went to display pic… it
took some time to load… and I was literally eager to see
that pic… and after taking some time it finally open…
and the display pic shows zoya and i… it was a candid
pic of ours, having the mike during our hosting…..
Phewwwww…. Zoya‟s message.. saying “Heyaaa”…
and then i replied…
Karan : Heyyy
Zoya : Hii
Karan : Just saw your msg…
Zoya : Hmm… no problem
Karan : Someone gotta nice dp…
Zoya : Who..??? me…???/
Karan : Yeah… I guess
Zoya : Hehe… I know… but, sacchi mein.. accha

Karan : Haaan… even I like the pic… chal, getting
ready for the college… you”re coming naa…!!!!
Zoya : Pata nai… I‟m too tired….
Karan : Okeyy… cool
Zoya : Hmm…. Oyeee…. Sunnn

Zoya : It was nice hosing with karan…. You are
good….
Karan : Lolz… zoya also was too good…. Actually

Chapter 2
W After that woh apne mein busy ho gai aur mein bhi apne
life mein busy ho gaya… university exams aane walle
the and we were rarely In touch… itna contact mein nahi
the hum…. Third year exams were going to start and we
are having our practical. It was like all were busy
completing Journals, assignments, notes, like hustle and
bustle all around in libraries, college campus and even in
canteens. The scenario completely seems like under
control of terror and anxiety. Students padhne mein
busy and professors extra classes lene mein busy. And
over that… Journal certification was among the most
difficult task during that time. We had to sign our
journal cum assignment book from respective
professors, followed by HOD and finally from our
Principal. Very difficult task and that too with Viva-
Voca.
It was our Cology‟s practical exam. In that practical
we were supposed to handle animals viz white mice,
white rat, rabbit, etc. Yesss… there‟s difference between
mice and rats species… mice are smaller in size and
weight then rats. Mice are quite easy to handle rather
than rats. In cology practical we had to sacrifice animals
to study the behavior of certain drugs on animal‟s heart,
liver, kidney, eyes and their other systems. and in that

practical, we had to take the responses of “Amlodipine
Besylate” on rats heart.
Professor Mahendi gave the Aim of the practical
and asked to sacrifice the animal. Sacrificing animal is
bit of skillful work and we have to follow euthanasia
principle. Euthanasia means “the act of killing someone
painlessly” and we have to follow this Mercy Killing as
per the rules and regulations of government and animal
welfare of India.
Saikat : Who‟s gonna sacrife this rat..???? komal tu
karr naa…
Komal : Nahi re.. i„m not going to do that.
Saikat : Toh phir aur kaun karega…???
Prof. Mahendi : Common students… do it fast…
you have to finish the practical in 4 hours.. you are not
given extra time… and do the practical in group of two,
as per your roll numbers.
Saikat : Karan… Tu karnaa… you are expertise in
doing that….
Karan : Yeah… No problem… mein karta hu….
Aur tu help karega mere….
Saikat : Kisse aur ko bolna…. Mein nai
Karan : Ghanta…. Chal aa… We are getting late
Saikat : (biting his teeth, making awkward
expressions) Theek hai…. Tu bolta hai toh…. You are
my brother.
Karan : Haha… You are only my true friend
buddyyy…..
And I must say, you need a brave heart to dissect
the spinal cord of the animal and to tear the skin
followed by C-Shaped scissor to penetrate the skin and
tissues, to reach their Heart.
Karan : ( in a hyphenated voice) guys and gals…
the heart seems to be good and healthy … I had removed
the tissues… you can borrow me your samples…. Kaun
hai mera partner… partner kaun hai….

Kavita : Arey… mein huu… tere saath
Komal : Wahh… matlab tujhe kuch karna he nai
hai… tere saath toh topper hai…
Saikat : Oye topper ( addressing to me)…. BC…
help karna…. Ghanta issme kuch aata hai
Karan : Haan Bong BC…. Tu tension naa le… ho
jayega….
Kavita : Mein kya karu…. ????
Karan : Chill naa…. Mein kardunga tera… bas tu

Kavita : Ok
After 3 hours, Prof. Mahendi came and asked about
our results, but until that no one get any responses. Its
tedious work to get the response and from that to
calculate how much effect the Amlodipine Besylate is
showing on heart. And whether it is showing any result
or not, or whether the sample given to us is in pure form
or not.
That time only my rotating kymograph showed
some effect, and kavita and I hi-fi each other. Until now
no one got any response. And prof. Mahendi came to us,
saw our response and immediately approved us….
Kavita : Haassshhh…… abhi relax hua…
Komal : Haan.. jaise tune he sab kuch kiya
Kavita : Haan toh.. kiya naa…. Tera aaya kya

Komal : Nai…….(in an irritated expression )
Suddenly, I am being tapped by someone… I
turned… it was Zoya… her expression were quite low
and dull… I asked her…
Karan : yeah… Zoya
Zoya : Ho gaya tera Practical….????
Karan : haan… almost….

tera Oxygen pipe toh bahar nikal gaya hai… uske bina
tissue theek se respond nai karega…..
Zoya : Ohhh…. Maine dhyan nai diya… actually
mujhe toh yeh pata bhi nai tha… aisa hota haii….
Karan : Haha… that‟s okeyy…. Abhi maine theek
kar diya hai… now we will get the result. but, we are
lacking of time, we have to do it fast.
Zoya : Haaan… ill help you out naa…
Prof. Mahendi : students, only half our remaining…
do it fast and get the paper signed my me as soon as
possible.
Zoya : Karan… only half hour remaining…. Ho
jayega naa apna….
Karan : Don‟t panic zoya…. Sunnaaa… ek trick
batau kya tujhe… but, kissi ko bolna matt…
Zoya : Whhat….?????
Karan : Pehle promise me… you will not tell
anyone
Zoya : Accha baba… haaan… Promise… pakka
walaa
Karan : Sunnn…. Hamare pass time nai hai… mein
naa tujhe directly response laake deta hu…
Zoya : Haaan… But kaise….????
Karan : Wait….
Zoya : What are you doing Karan…. And where are
you going…????

sample… and with this we will get quick and better
response.
Zoya : ( confused ) How… And… Why you added
alcohol…????? Mujhe darr lag raha hai

responses…..
Zoya : WTF, how did you do this…. Tell meee
Karan : Arey, it‟s just the Synergistic effect, by
adding alcohol with that drug. And because of these we
are getting participative result.
Zoya : Wowww….. but sir ko pata nai chelaga
naa…
Karan : Haan… don‟t worry… Prof. Mahendi sirf
response dekhta hai… now go… and get your result
signed.
Zoya : Haannn….. mein jaate hu….
Saikat : ( addressing me in Quirke expression )

Karan : Kyaa…????
Saikat : Saale, mere yaha par phaatee padi hai… aur
tu kabse Zoya ke help karra tha…
Karan : Abhi toh gaya tha
Saikat : Chal gandu… kabka gaya tha…
Karan : Haan loodu…. Chal naa… tera karte hai…
abhi sirf 20 min baaki hai
Saikat : Haan bhai… jaldi jaldiii
I really don‟t know… how our bestie always came
to know the most weird things about us.i was thinking
why he gave me that Quirke look. Anyways I don‟t
really think to that and started concentrating with his
practical and soon we were done with the results.
Zoya : Thank You… Thank You… Thank You…..
Karan : Yeah… that‟s alright

papers… fast… and leave the lab.
Karan : Heyy Zoya… don‟t forget, about Hidden
Place… After exams…
Saikat : Haan Zoya… mein bhi
Zoya : Yeah…. byeeeee
And after finishing the exams we all depart for our
homes. We hostelides only knows the importance of
being at home, being with family, especially with mom.
Since it was all examic atmosphere, we were free
actually after two months, and feeling of holidays were
unexplainable.
