SAMPLE (For Reference) This is the information we have on file for this registered plant Please confirm the information in the table above is correct, as follows o A#: Matches A# on the Boiler or Thermal Liquid Heater Name Plate o Vessel Type: Simply list as Heating, Power, or Thermal Liquid Heater (TLH) o Operating Fluid: Hot Water, Glycol, HP Steam, LP Steam, Thermal Liquid o kW Rating: As calculated using the Power Engineers Regulation, Section 29(1) o Group: This heading refers to boilers attached to a common header that form a plant for the purpose of determining the kilowatt capacity Each header is given a number Boilers that discharge into a common header will have the same number (ie Glycol Boilers A-01325XX and A-01407XX both discharge into a common header and have been listed as Group #1. Glycol boiler A-1853XX is on a separate header, which has no connections to header Group #1, is listed as header Group #2. Boiler A-29943XX is a Hot Water Boiler on a third header, header Group #3.) Note 1: If the list is not complete, add missing boilers/thermal liquid heater information in the blank rows provided. Note 2: For all Thermal Liquid Heaters, please provide the name of the Thermal Liquid used and the expansion tank operating pressure. (Zero kPa if vented to atmosphere or the safety relief valve set pressure if under an inert gas blanket) Note 3: For Boilers and Thermal Liquid Heaters on the list that are no longer in service, simply place a line through the A# (ie 01325XX) Note 4: For errors in the table provided, strike out the error and replace with the correct information (ie Glycol Hot water)

SAMPLE (For Reference)

• This is the information we have on file for this registered plant

• Please confirm the information in the table above is correct, as follows

o A#: Matches A# on the Boiler or Thermal Liquid Heater Name Plate

o Vessel Type: Simply list as Heating, Power, or Thermal Liquid Heater (TLH)

o Operating Fluid: Hot Water, Glycol, HP Steam, LP Steam, Thermal Liquid

o kW Rating: As calculated using the Power Engineers Regulation, Section 29(1)

o Group: This heading refers to boilers attached to a common header that form a plant for the purpose of determining the kilowatt capacity

Each header is given a number

Boilers that discharge into a common header will have the same number (ie Glycol Boilers A-01325XX and A-01407XX both

discharge into a common header and have been listed as Group #1. Glycol boiler A-1853XX is on a separate header, which has no

connections to header Group #1, is listed as header Group #2. Boiler A-29943XX is a Hot Water Boiler on a third header, header

Group #3.)

Note 1: If the list is not complete, add missing boilers/thermal liquid heater information in the blank rows provided.

Note 2: For all Thermal Liquid Heaters, please provide the name of the Thermal Liquid used and the expansion tank operating pressure. (Zero kPa

if vented to atmosphere or the safety relief valve set pressure if under an inert gas blanket)

Note 3: For Boilers and Thermal Liquid Heaters on the list that are no longer in service, simply place a line through the A# (ie 01325XX)

Note 4: For errors in the table provided, strike out the error and replace with the correct information (ie Glycol Hot water)

kW Rating as calculated using the Power Engineers Regulations, Section 29 (1)

This column refers to the header which each Boiler or Thermal Liquid Heater discharges into. Each header is given a number. Boilers that discharge into a common header will have the same number.

14. Additional information regarding plant rating and/or supervision requirements.

15. PS1 & HS1: In this case, the number “1” indicates that this plant has a single steam header for both the Power Steam Boilers (PS) and

the Heating Steam Boilers (HS). This header is a common feeder that is physically connected across a pressure reducing station.

16. Power Plants and Heating Plants may contain Thermal Liquid.

17. Thermal Liquid Heaters with expansion tanks operating at atmospheric pressure are designated as Heating Plants (HT) – Heating (Thermal Liquid)

17. Thermal Liquid Power Plants (with expansion tanks operating above atmospheric pressure) are designated as power plants (“PT” – Power/Thermal

Liquid)

18. Thermal Liquid Power Plants operated with expansion tank pressure above atmospheric but not greater that 700 kPa, are allowed reduced supervision

under PER Section 2.1(1).

• May be operated with supervision as defined by PER Table 5.
