The PROFIBUS-DP interface enable communication withprocess control systems using the standard PROFIBUS-DP.Per device, up to 16 low-power solenoid valves can becontrolled and up to 32 sensor feedback signals can beread over the eldbus.The Type 3965-DPplus Valve Driver Modules are used tooperate external solenoid valves even with large K VS coef-cients.

The Type 3965-DP Solenoid Valve Island includes inline-mounted booster valves with smaller K VS coefcients in aexible modular design.Both devices are compact control units with integratedpower supply and gateway, allowing them to be used asstand-alone devices on site. Thanks to their low heat gen-eration, they are well-suited for installation in control cab-inets and for intrinsically safe applications.

Transparency from the eld level all the way up to thecompany levelThe Type 3965-DPplus Valve Driver Module andType 3965-DP Solenoid Valve Island integrate solenoid

valves and limit switches into the process control systemusing thePROFIBUS-DP protocol. This allows the state of theeld devices to be polled without delay. This powerful com-munication is the basis for the consistent ow of data fromthe eld level up to the production and company levels.
