    PROGRESS REPORT

    A. TREE SEEDLING NURSERY PROGRAM

    San Miguel Corporation has been supporting the growing of seedlings for the

    needed requirement during tree plantings. The seedlings are grown in the two (2)

    Central Nurseries of Jaclupan and Talamban and likewise in the 11 Community

    Nurseries within the 11 Barangays of the Municipality of Liloan.

    THE NURSERIES

    1. Talamban Central Nursery located in the premises of the DFamily Park. This is

    the humble home of our seedlings; this is the place where they see the first ray of lightand when fragile leaves start to shine and reaching out to that ray of light.

    B. INTEGRATED WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

    The integrated watershed management program takes care in the tree planting

    activities from the site preparation, holing of the area for the seedlings and the

    management of the seedlings once they are planted. Negotiations with land areas

    potential for tree planting is part of the process of this particular program. Most of the

    tree planting activities are done within the Central Cebu Protected Landscape which isbasically where the major critical watersheds are located very vital to Cebus economic

    development. Initiatives are likewise very helpful to an escalating climate change

    negative impacts.

    The little baby seedling under the suns spotlight after being germinated in the

    seedbed will find the seedbags on the right their next home until they are nurtured ready for

    them to taste life in the vast lands of the Central Cebu Protected Landscape and perform the
