This level of RAID provides data striping on each device within storage array

It comprises block level data striping with distributed parity

This configuration is used for OLTP applications.

• This level of RAID provides data mirroring.

• This requires more storage capacity.

• RAID 1 is used for applications such as data warehousing and some OLTP configurations

NAS RTOS: Essentially everything that is active within NAS device is available through the NAS operating system.

NAS Configuration: External sources of information can be identified and accessed.

Fabric Operating System Information: Available within switch MIBs

Storage Information: MIBs or activity log files

OS Information: Dependent on the OS. Common Information Management Database

Application Information: Dependent on the application
