Fellow Elks,

I would like to be the first to welcome in our new officers and ER. We

have a lineup that I expect to be one of the best we have seen yet! They

will be taking their places soon, to take us triumphantly into the next

year, so please join us and come be a part of the ceremony. We will be

hosting the Cushing-Drumright Elks lodge on Saturday the 21st of

March as they perform our installation of incoming officers, and then

they will host us as we perform their installation of officers at the Cush-

ing-Drumright lodge on the 28th of March. Both ceremonies will take

place at 7pm with dinner at 6:30. Come out and support our incoming

and exiting officers. We also have a work day planned on Saturday

March 14th at 10 AM, and we could really use some additional hands on

deck to help. Contact the lodge to see what you can bring or do to help.

Don't forget to come participate in our Wii bowling tournament on

Thursdays, as well as our Wednesday night meals and our Friday night

steak dinners as always. We have a lot of exciting events planned and

even more to be planned, so come to the meetings and help up make this

We are hoping to get a $2000 Beacon Grant to support the Wounded Warriors

Project. We have a new member that is associated with HOW (Heroes on the

Water) which we are inquiring about and have a member of the organization

who is willing to come and speak to us about this organization and tell us

what they do. They actually have fishing & kayak lessons at Keystone Lake.

They teach wounded warriors how to fish & control a Kayak. This is therapy

for them. There is only one in Oklahoma & it is in NE Okla. We are hoping

we can take advantage of this grant and help this organization with a couple

cookouts a year and some entertainment that they would enjoy and benefit

from. Im hoping the sponsor can come to our March 10 meeting to give us

more info. Our deadline is March 31st for the grant. You can go online to

would be greatly appreciated. Please plan on attending this meeting.
