SANDY CAPE CAMPING CHARGES THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN PROUDLY

7. Any form of anti social behaviour that interferes with the enjoyment of campers and visitors is not acceptable and offenders will be evicted.
8. No day visitors on site after 8pm or an overnight fee may apply.
9. All campers are required to produce a receipt upon request from the Camp host or the Shire Ranger.
10. Littering is not tolerated in Reserve 19206 and visitors are required to remove all rubbish from their sites. Bins are available at the Information Bay.
11. Bushwalking – all visitors must stay on the tracks provided to protect the native vegetation and please do not walk on the foreshore dune areas where signs and structures are in place for rehabilitation work.
12. Destruction or removal of flora and fauna is prohibited and offenders will be prosecuted under Council’s Property Local Laws and restitution will be sought for rehabilitation work.
13. Vehicles and trailers must be parked in designated sites.
14. Camping is only allowed at a site as directed by the Camp host or Shire Ranger. No camping is allowed on the foreshore dunes and beach areas.
15. Camping is restricted to four nights only. Extensions can be obtained only from the Camp host or the Shire Ranger.
16. Campers may be issued with only one (1) caution notice and any further breach of code will result in your removal.
1. Unlicensed & Licensed “Off Road Vehicles” (ORV’s) are totally prohibited within the Recreation Park & Reserve and on sand dunes offenders will be infringed
2. No solid fuel fires are permitted between 1st November and the 31st March – including for the purpose of cooking. Campfires are also Prohibited over the Easter long weekend, Good Friday and the 3 days immediately following. Ranger Services can impose further restriction due to current fire weather conditions if required). Please refer to the Shire of Dandaragan's website to view the 2017—2018 Fire Break & Fuel Hazard Reduction Notice for further information and restrictions. Campers are required to being their own self-contained fire and firewood. DO NOT COLLECT ANY WOOD FROM IN THE RESERVE. You are required to have sufficient water to extinguish the fire property. Gas barbeques are permitted all year round.
3. Dogs & Cats are permitted. Within the grounds they are required to be held on a lead or leash at all times. When in a camp site they are to be tethered or effectively confined. E.g. within your caravan or tent behind a barrier. Pet owners are requested to clean up after their pets. Please observe signs which indicate areas for on lead and off lead.
4. The speed limit within the Recreation Park ground is 8kms per hour.
5. Only “Road” Licensed Vehicles capable of soft sandy conditions are permitted to access the beach areas between the high and low water tide mark. All drivers are to obey signs relevant to prohibited areas. The Shire will not provide a vehicle recovery service. (i.e. bogged vehicle).
6. All generators must be turned off by 9pm and lights and music kept to a minimum after 9pm. Generators may not be turned on before 8am
Sandy Cape Recreation Park is an
environmentally sensitive area and as such visitors are asked to adhere to the Code of Conduct to ensure minimum impact on the coastal environment.
Consideration for other campers and visitors within the Park is required and disturbances will be dealt with according to Council’s Local Laws.
