Santa Claus Day Santa Claus Day - secularised name of Saint
Nicholas is celebrated on December 6 in Poland, celebrated in honor
of St. Nicholas the Bishop of Myra. The presence of Santa Claus
announces the coming of Christmas. On this Santa Claus brings
presents to children. These are usually small gifts, candy or small
toys. Adults also are giving their loved ones.

History The custom of giving gifts in Poland can be found in
the texts of the eighteenth century. Children receive apples,
gilded nuts, gingerbread and wooden crosses. Secret Santa name
appeared in the communist era, the tradition of giving a nice term
on December 6, but without the same saint.
