The campus is alive with the sound of music here in Santa Teresita! Over the past few weeks, a myriad of songs could be heard from our own residents, families and groups that have come on campus to play. “The core of her [St. Therese’s] message is actually the mystery itself of God-Love, of the Triune God, infinitely perfect in himself… At the summit, as the source and goal, is the merciful love of the three Divine Persons… At the root, on the subject’s part, is the experience of being the Father’s adoptive children in Jesus…Through spiritual childhood one experiences that everything comes from God, returns to him and abides in him, for the salvation of all, in a mystery of merciful love. Such is the doctrinal message taught and lived by this Saint.” – St. John Paul II

“God would never inspire me with desires which cannot be realized; so in spite of my littleness, I can hope to be a saint.” – St. Therese of Lisieux

“Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience achieves everything.” – St. Teresa of Avila

St. Therese of Lisieux, Doctor of the Church, Patron of Missions

“Teresa considered that her vocation and her mission was prayer in the Church and with the Church, which is a praying community moved by the Holy Spirit to adore the Father in and with Jesus “in spirit and in truth” (Jn 4:23). . . . Saint Teresa considered the life of prayer to be the greatest manifestation of the theological life of the faithful who, believing in the love of God, free themselves from everything to attain the full presence of that love.” – St. John Paul II

St. Teresa of Avila, Doctor of the Church, Teacher of Prayer
