SAP Business Planning and Consolidation ( BPC )
SAP Business Objects Planning and Consolidation (formerly Outlook Soft) is a corporate performance management
tool that can cater for all types of planning and Consolidation , forecasting and Budgeting from simple small
processes to complex multi-layer processes, while also providing consolidation and easy to use reporting.
SAP BPC offers a robust, multiuser platform, which is fully integrated with Microsoft Excel.
The multi-dimensional nature allows users to “slice and dice” the data according their needs.
As SAP BPC utilizes OLAP technology, this means that data is available as soon as it has been entered – no need
to aggregate data.
Enables an organization to keep track of its progress through a budget/forecasting process.
Planning and Consolidation is part of Enterprise Performance Management

The Excel Interface of the EPM add-in can be used to access data from multiple
A. Sources.
The data retrieval options are the same, regardless of the source. However,
when used for the planning and consolidation application, additional features are
available including data input and Data Manager, for example.
Data Manager is used to import data and run planning functions such as copy,
delete, and move.
Since it is easy to use, IT does not always need to be involved in the configuration of SAP Business Objects
Planning and Consolidation.
