5.5 Interacting with Web Intelligence Reports on iOSBesides the common report capabilities, Web Intelligence reports provide you with specific options for analyzing information. If you want to switch between reports in a Web Intelligence document, tap the View reports option that

appears in the report toolbar. If the report has filters defined for it, you see the Filter icon in the toolbar. Tap it to specify values based on

which the information will appear in the report. If the report has sections defined by the designer on the server, a section header pops up on the screen. Tap it

to view the information the of report in sections. If the charts and tables in reports have drill up or drill down options configured on the server, the relevant

    options appear on the screen.

5.6 Interacting with SAP BusinessObjects Explorer ContentWhen you open an Explorer document, you navigate through information spaces and exploration views. Both types of document allow to identify trends in your data and quickly retrieve answers to your business questions on your iPad. Exploration views and information spaces are created in the web version of SAP BusinessObjects Explorer and made available in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform. Select an Explorer document and then add dimensions and measures, edit filters and intuitively explore your data.Once you have opened an information space or an exploration view you use the same ways to explore the data in both data sets. There is no pre-defined way to explore. The data is already presented in a visual format that is easy to navigate, so you can start by tapping values in the tables and charts that interest you to get more details, or refining the exploration by adding dimensions to filter the data.Facets are variables through which the data of a data set is presented for viewing, analysis and filtering. A facet is essentially a dimension of the data being explored. Factes are mainly used to filter data.A measure is an object that represents calculations and aggregate functions that map to statistical and analytic data in the dataset. By default, one measure is already selected and used in the chart. This is the main measure. You can change the main measure and add more measures. Measures represent the factual information.A dimension is an object that maps to one or more table columns or a function in a database and represents an axis of analysis. For example, Product, Geography, Time, and Employee are common dimensions. By default, one dimensions is already selected and used in the chart. This is the main dimension. You can change the main dimension and add more dimensions. Dimensions represent contextual information.

  • Data is presented in the chart type that is most suitable for the selected values, but you can choose from a wide variety of chart types to display your data. Visualizations such as Comparison, Part of a whole, Geographic and Time and Series charts are available for you to choose from depending on the selected measures and dimensions. To get more detailed information on a section of a chart, tap the data point that you want to examine. Since all the tables and graphs are interactive, when you tap one value, the same value is highlighted everywhere it appears in other visuals or tables. A pop up also appears showing more details on the selected value.Augmented Explorer views allow you to analyze geo-localized data based on pre-defined points of interest (POI). These POI are defined by Explorer administrators on the Explorer server. When you add a dimension that is formatted to activate POI, the augmented views icon appears. Tap this icon to start the augmented view on a geo-map.
