DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION

INTEREST IS IMPORTANT FOR STUDENT BUY IN!

Page 2: Sas Presentation

Directions• You must post three thoughtful questions that show evidence that you have

read the entire article (think beginning, middle, end.) The questions should ask the reader to discuss sophisticated topics—such as the pedagogical implications, author’s intended message, rhetorical devices, etc… Simple recall questions are not appropriate for this exercise!

• You must answer two questions posted by another student for the article you have read. Again, your answers should be sophisticated and analytical.

• You must comment on another students’ post one time for each article you have read. You are asked to do so respectfully without using derogatory words or phrases. You may disagree with someone in a constructive manner or you may add value to what another student is posting. Your post should refer back to the article.

• For each of the tasks above, you must provide textual support/evidence to back up your posts. Support your posts/answers/comments with direct quotes or references to the text.

Expectations

• I expect that each of you will post quality questions, responses, and thoughtful comments about your classmates’ analysis. I also expect that anything you post will be appropriate and relevant. Any inappropriate posts will result in a zero and disciplinary action may be taken depending on the severity of the impropriety. Remember, this is a class assignment and a grade, you should write full sentences in standard written English. See the “SAS Blog Rubric” for more details.
