Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 Septemb Saturday 18 September 11.00am to 5.30pm – Kids Stuff!, Stade Hall All things arts and craſts for the little ones to enjoy, including face painting! 12 noon – Stormy T & Bluesman’s Lane, Music Tent An accomplished blues band featuring Stormy T on wailing harmonica and vocals. They play traditional Rhythm & Blues, Swing, Blues & Funk from the 1930s to the 2000s 12.30pm – Fish Skills with Tush, Classroom on the Coast Perfect for Hastings Fish fans! Local legend Tush Hamilton will be showcasing all his fish cutting skills with some of the local catch from the Boys Ashore so you can feel confident about how to prepare it. 1.30pm – The Rocking Ambassadors, Music Tent Jive time with 50s vintage Rock and Roll performed to perfection by Stevie Bart and his four-piece band of Rock and Rollers! 3pm – Rhythm Shack, Music Tent All the way from Maidstone, Kent - playing their debut gig in the heart of Hastings Old Town. Rocky blues with a chunk of Funk plus some very cool covers! 3pm – Fish Skills with Tush, Classroom on the Coast See 12:30pm 4.30pm – Soul Town, Music Tent Soul sensations Soul Town are back in The Old Town! 10-piece big band Soul Town present a 60-minute non-stop assortment of Classic Soul and Tamla Motown. 6pm – The Funking Bar Stewards, Music Tent Back by public demand! Another rare chance to experience this almost-but-not-quite legendary 9-piece super-band. Expect ridiculous costumes, non-stop disco funk mayhem, and some wigs. Sunday 19 September 10am (doors open at 9am) Jazz Breakfast – Liane Carroll and Friends Liane returns for another Jazz Breakfast in her hometown of Hastings. If you haven’t experienced this talented lady in person you should! She always delivers, vocally and musically with a personality and performance that will brighten up your Sunday morning - even if it’s raining. Tickets are available from Visitor Information Centre, Station Plaza, Hastings. Price includes two-hour concert, continental breakfast and wristband for weekend entry to the Seafood and Wine Festival. All with wristbands tickets are welcome but places are limited on a first come first served basis. 1.30pm – Carried Away with the Carnival with Ed Boxall, Stade Hall In Ed’s new story a little boy goes to the carnival with his grandad, and gets carried away on a fantastic adventure including bright dragons, thundering drums, Neptune, a mermaid, and the ‘giant scary strong woman’. Ed will be performing this and an exciting selection of his poems and songs for all ages. 2.00pm – The Gail Edmunds Band, Music tent Gail is a singer, songwriter who’s a cut above the rest. She has a rich, soulful sound, with deep upliſting and meaningful messages in her song writing. She’s worked with the likes of Eddie Floyd, Terrance Trent Derby and The Specials. 3pm – Carried Away with the Carnival with Ed Boxall – Stade Hall Repeat of 1:30pm session 3pm – CJ Jackson cooking demo, Classroom on the Coast Repeat of 12:30pm session 3.15pm – The Haystingers, Music Tent Purveyors of Hillbilly Boogie - these sons of Hastings are the real deal when it comes to Swing Boogie Americana. Led by Keith Osbourne on double-slide guitar, this talented line up of seasoned musicians know exactly how to turn the stage on fire with highly polished songs and pure stagecraſt! 4.45pm – The Elisha Edwards Band, Music Tent An amazing young woman who draws her inspiration from Jazz/R&B/Soul influences and applies them to her original music. Backed by a talented young band she commands respect from the minute she sings. Original tunes and superb covers, you can expect 60 minutes of wonderful music. 6.15pm – The Soul Shine Band, Music Tent We like to finish our Festival with the ultimate party vibe - and this is the ultimate band to give us just that. Their name says it all. Seventies and eighties Disco Funk and Soul, served up with grooves to help you move!
