Because of the time span involved and subjective nature of evaluating achievements of the nominees, there are no specific criteria for selection to the Hall of Fame. The committee is given broad discretion in its selections.

Some factors to be considered are: county, league, district, and state recognition.

An athlete’s achievements following graduation will be considered.

    Induction

    1. The initial number of inductees will be a maximum of (20). Thereafter, a maxi-mum of (6) candidates will be inducted each year.

    2. An appropriate award shall be given, with one going to the recipient, and one to the school to be displayed in the Hall of Fame Case.

    3. The Amanda-Clearcreek Athletic Department will assume the financial cost of the awards.

    4. The time of the induction ceremony shall be set by the committee such that it shall be appropriate with the honor and dignity that goes with the induction.

    Securing Names/Information

    1. The Athletic Director will be responsible for collecting and distributing infor-mation on prospective inductees.

    2. A full report of prospective candidates, sports participated in, character references and pertinent information shall be provided to the committee mem-bers

    3. The committee shall review each candidate and select those they feel should be nominated into the Hall of Fame.

    4. Names of the selected nominees shall be given to the entire committee for consideration and voting.

    5. The nominees receiving the highest number of votes shall be

    inducted.

    6. In the case of a tie, a vote of the whole committee shall be called and a new vote on the tie shall be taken and the candidate selected.

    7. A name being nominated once will be kept in an active file and re-main on the list for yearly consideration.
