City-Style Lunch – Nando’s Peri Peri
The winds of Africa called them ashore and it was there, under the warm sun, in
the rich soil that the African Bird’s Eye Chilli or PERi-PERi was discovered. A spice
like no other, used to create a unique sauce.
A few hundred years later the same PERi-PERi sauce inspired Fernando Duarte to
invite his friend Robbie Brozin to a humble Portuguese eatery in the heart of
Rosettenville, South Africa to try some mouth-watering PERi-PERi marinated and
basted chicken. It wasn’t just the best chicken Robbie had ever tasted; it was
love at first bite! Here at Nando’s Peri Peri you can experience that same flavor.
The cost of your meal is not included in this trip. This is a Members-Only event.
The average lunch tab without drinks is $15.

January Lunch Bunch – LongHorn
Cooking Demonstration with
Lincolnwood Place
Born of fire, tested by ice, confirmed by legions of loyal guests each day, LongHorn Steakhouse® has
grown to become the undisputed home for great steak done right. Founded in 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia,
the restaurant began with one man's passion for perfect steak but had very few guests to convince.
Then a freak snowstorm hit Atlanta in 1982, stranding motorists and drawing them to one of the only
hospitable places available - a restaurant then called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. Tales of
expertly grilled steaks soon spread like wildfire, and the legend of LongHorn was born.
The cost of your meal is your responsibility.

Lincolnwood, IL 60712
The first California Pizza Kitchen opened in Beverly Hills in 1985. It was former
federal prosecutors Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax that combined their passion for
food with fresh high-quality ingredients to create innovative, hearth-baked pizza
such as The Original BBQ Chicken, Thai Chicken, and Jamaican Jerk Chicken,
cooked in an open kitchen. The restaurant gave California a place in the pizza
pantheon alongside Chicago and New York. The California twist on global flavors
resonated with guests, and California Pizza Kitchen because a hot spot for business
and family gatherings.

City-Style Lunch: The Spoon
The Spoon is nominated as one of the 11 best Thai spots in Chicago by Thrillist.
The Spoon was one of the first Chicago Thai restaurants to start the “secret”
menu trend that would make its way around the city. Nowadays, all diners have
access to Spoon’s full array of dishes, including the kai-tod —Thai-style chicken
wings marinated in fish sauce, deep-fried, and served with homemade tamarind
sauce. The Somtum pu is the must-try dish at The Spoon. This traditional spicy
green papaya salad lights the mouth on fire with a mixture of string beans,
tomato, carrot, peanuts, and crab in a lime dressing.
The cost of your meal is your responsibility.
