The KOC Home Association College Scholarship

Any graduating high school senior from El Reno and Union

City parish can apply for a $1,000 Scholarship. The Schol-

arship is for $500.00 per semester for two semesters and

is paid to the student. Applications must be turned by May

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY: In the year 2000 Pope (now Saint) John Paul II declared that the 2nd Sunday of Easter would

be celebrated as Divine Mercy Sunday throughout the universal church. This year Divine Mercy Sunday is April 23. Our Lord has

promised us extraordinary graces on Divine Mercy Sunday if we venerate his image. In His revelations to St. Faustina, He said

"whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day (Divine Mercy Sunday) will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and pun-

ishment".He also said, "the soul that will go to confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins

and punishment."

To celebrate this wonderful source of grace, a Divine Mercy prayer service will be held in the chapel on April 23 at 3:00 p.m.

To help you prepare for the extraordinary graces Jesus will bestow on Mercy Sunday, Jesus requested that a nine day novena be

made before the Feast of Divine Mercy, from Good Friday through the following Saturday (April 14 - April 22) or to say the Divine

Mercy Chaplet once each day. Pamphlets containing the Divine Mercy Novena and the Divine Mercy Chaplet are available in the

back of the church. Won't you please join us on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 23, 3:00 p.m. in the chapel for this special devotion.
