With more than 330,000 guns sold worldwide,

SAUER is the largest German manufacturer

of bolt action rifles in the post-war era. This

experience and success propels the company

towards new innovations consequently focusing

on the needs of the hunter. That is how the SAU-

ER 202 came to be a bolt action rifle in form,

function, technology and accuracy which has no

rival.

Perfection in Detail

S 202 At the heart of the rifle is the receiver milled from one solid

block of metal. All other components are modular. This

principle is the prerequisite for long-term performance and

an enormous flexibility.

The Krupp steel barrel is developed in a laborious process

that includes honing, cold hammer forging, stress relieving,

turning and finishing. This process is used for both hunting

guns and target rifles, and is the key to SAUERs legendary

precision.

Barrels of the same calibre family may be easily inter-

changed. Always having the same handling and balance,

they guarantee your hunting success.

Six massive lugs lock the bolt directly into the barrel to resist

the entire force of the shot. This special design enables the

hunter to choose either steel or light metal receivers. This

way, weight and balance are controlled at the optimal point:

The middle of the gun.

The bolt opens smoothly with a bolt lift of only 60. The set

trigger automatically unsets itself when the bolt handle is

lifted.

The safety follows a proven concept: One button one

function! You can either see or feel the indicator on the

upper wrist to verify that the rifle is on Safe. The safety

releases easily and silently just in front of the trigger. You

will feel and sense the advantages of this safety action, but

you will never hear them, because the mechanism works

completely noiselessly.

The combination single-stage trigger with adjustable set

trigger function offers perfect performance in every situa-

tion. No matter what trigger function you choose, the shot

will break like glass.

The warp-free stock is of two-piece construction and has no

load-bearing function. This way, the fanciest woods may be

used without affecting the precision or stability of the rifle.

The S 202 is available in a dedicated left-handed version

(action and stock) because a strong rifle belongs on the

hunters strong side.

S 202T a k e D o w n Based on the SAUER 202 design, the receiver is the sup-

porting element of the rifle. Immune from stock bedding

issues, the action practically supports itself.

The barrel and receiver are connected by a snug-fitting

cone plug that is free of play and compensates for wear.

The state-of-the-art manufacturing process ensures

minimum tolerances and maximum precision.

Six lugs lock the bolt directly in the barrel. This guarantees

perfect headspace after every disassembly and assembly

and prevents wear and tear at the plug connecting barrel

and receiver.

With the press of a button, six lugs lock the fore-end

directly into the steel receiver.

The S 202 Take Down can be disassembled without tools

to a length of 70 cm and re-assembled within seconds for

immediate action. There is no tool to forget or lose, no

screw that is too tight or too loose the rifle is reduced to

pure perfection and that leads to successful hunting.

After assembly, the point of impact remains 100% consist-

ent. There is no need for testfiring.

The unlimited flexibility of the S 202 Take Down allows for

changing of barrels and calibres from 6.5 x 55 to .458 Lott

with a wide range of barrel lengths and contours.

Trigger, safety, sights, stock options and, of course, the

absolutely slick bolt action have all been adopted from the

proven SAUER 202.

All models are available for left-handers with left-handed

action and buttstock.

New Dimensions

S 303 A receiver milled from a solid block of metal is at its foun-

dation. All other component parts are of modular design.

The manual cocking feature on the upper wrist provides apremium on safety in any situation. All manual operations

for loading, unloading and magazine removal as well as

closing or opening the breech may be performed while the

gun is decocked.

The IntraLock firing pin safety engages automatically if

the breech is not 100 % in battery.

Soldered or screwed-on barrel blocks are not necessary

for gas management. Additionally, the automatic loading

sequence cannot influence barrel vibrations since the

forward part of the barrel is fully free-floating. The S 303

has inherited the accuracy for which SAUER is famous.

The single-stage trigger sets new standards in its class.

Creep is minimal and the shot breaks at 1,300 g like glass.

With this unparalleled performance, the S 303 does as

well from the blind as from the stand.

The proprietary isiMount is perfectly tailored to the

needs of todays hunter. With a 100 % repeatable point of

impact after removal, it puts the scope lower than ever

before and only two motions are needed to adjust the eye

relief by 1 cm.

The contrasting open sights consist of a triangular yellowrear blade and a red front bead which instinctively lead

the eye to the target. The front sight is click-adjustable

for windage and elevation. The optional Battue rib with its

long sight line helps you make those tough snap shots.

The S 303 Semi Automatic Rifles con-

struction offers enormous advantages

to the shooter. After once firing, the

hunter must not release his grip on the

gun to reload for the next shot.

Same as with the double gun, the

second shot is instantly available. But

the gas-operated system offers an

additional bonus: Some of the powder

gases are used for the loading cycle.

This dampens much of the recoil and

Zenith models are made of light metal and are

lable without rail (= LM) or with Convex inner

(= LMC) with various recticles or with optional

ht dot and FlashDot technology.

Knowledge of the recticle position is important before first mounting in order to provide the gunsmith with

a sufficient adjustment range into all directions when zeroing. With Posicon this is very simple the indicator

always shows the position of the recticle. With the indicator within the green range the recticle is within the

square adjustment range. With this, reciprocal interference of the adjustment movements is excluded. The

red range shows adjustment reserves that can be used if needed, and also warns that excessive usage of

one adjustment limits the range of the respective other adjustment. The silver ring within the corresponding

turret, where the user can also mount own markings for certain distances or different bullet loads, enables a

repeat-accurate marking after zeroing.

The FlashDot technology.Other than with conventional illuminated recticles, the FlashDot technology in the Zenith models offers the

possibility to turn on or turn off the bright dot depending on hunting conditions. The advantage in practise: On

short distance, like with drive hunting of wild boar, the bright dot is turned on. This significantly improves hit

rate with a quick reaction shot, because it better contrasts with the dark boar body than any other conventio-

nal recticle. When turning off the bright dot, the normal crosshairs will remain. With this, a shot can be made

from a larger distance, because no dot will interfere precise aiming. The further development of the internal

beam splitter also allows utilization of this modern ill umination unit at twilight. Also important: The use of a

digital chip automatically turns off power supply after six hours. If the hunter forgets to turn off the illuminated

recticle, he will always be provided with sufficient power for his next night hunting.

The Convex inner rail.The Convex inner rail distinguishes itself with a really elegant design and the utilization of filigree mounting

parts. In addition, this new rail also allows lateral correction of scope position by respectively 1 to the right

or left side. It is self-evident that the scope can be removed from a firearm and mounted on another firearm

without external damage when using the Convex inner rail just like the safe and tension-free mounting. The

result is the perfect harmony of firearm and scope. This will enthuse above all the high-demanding aesthetes

amongst the hunters.
