Save a version of the PowerPoint for each reader. Go through the words one by one in ‘Normal View.’ If the reader correctly reads the high frequency word first time simply delete the slide. If they fail to read it instantly discuss the word and the sounds and practice recognising the word, then move on to the next slide. In this way you can ensure you work with the reader on the words they need help with and have a clear demonstration of progress.
