Vette Wave! Thanks to all that provided pictures for the newsletter. Vette Wave! Great job to Mike Garoust, Show Chairperson, and all of the very many volunteers that made the 16th Annual Vettes on the Avenue a HUGE success. With 189 beautiful Corvettes lining the streets of Downtown Melbourne, Space Coast Vettes raised enough to present Space Coast Honor Flight a check for $3,000! Vette Wave! Thank you to everyone attending our show. We hope you had a wonderful day! Save the date! Our next show is 19-October-2019.

Space Coast Vettes General Meeting November 4th

Monthly General Club Meeting @ Hooters, Palm Bay Rd Socializing and dining at 6 PM with meeting at 7 PM NW corner of Palm Bay Road and Hollywood Blvd. Note-Elections will be held at this meeting! Note- Club Apparel Coordinator, Tom Jalicki, will be having the YEAR END SALE! Tom will have plenty to offer. Note-This meeting is the last opportunity to sign up and pay for the Christmas party. Note- Don Swift from Haggerty’s will be our guest at the meeting!

SPACE COAST VETTES GENERAL MEETING OCTOBER 14, 2018

1. Meeting called to order by President Schaefer. 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Secretary John Ziegler read the minutes of the last general meeting. Motion to accept by

John Schaefer, seconded by Pete Hill. 4. Vice President Hill asked members to arrive at the show by 7:00 am. He also introduced 3

prospective members. 5. Treasurer Terry Nies reported we have 49 club members signed up for the show. He also

said that dues are being collected tonight and last chance to pay before $10.00 late fee is the November meeting. Christmas party money will be due at the November meeting.

6. NCCC Governor Jim Davis said that next month a representative from Haggerty’s will be at our meeting. He also asked that anyone with an address change please let him know.

7. Competition Director Don Kibler reports there will be a show in Rockledge on 11/17/18. Our show on 10/20/18 and a Cruise Inn at Burger Inn on Tuesday 10/16/18.

8. Officer at Large Robbie Dean was absent. Fay collected 50/50. 9. Newsletter Editor Denise Bossio asked members to sign a list if they didn’t receive the

newsletter. 10. Webmaster Frank reports that he has corrected our password problem. 11. Social Director Tom Marshall advised we will have lunch at Meg’s after our show. 12. Social Media Director Kevin O’Grady was absent. 13. Homecoming Chair Jimmie Demmings thanked everyone for the great job completing 7

homecomings. He also advised to watch the newsletter for the Muscle Car Museum Show. 14. Parade Coordinator Bill Vanase reports the Veteran’s Day parade is set to go. We will meet

Saturday 11/10/18 on Melbourne Avenue by the railroad bridge. Watch email for details. 15. Fashion Director Tom Jalacki said we should bring event shirts to the show if we have one.

Also, see Tom to order name tags and apparel. 16. Show Coordinator Mike Garoust thanked everyone for their participation and for donating

door prizes. He stated all committees are set and ready. 17. Old Business:

A. President Schaefer thanked Kandi, Robbie, Anne, Gunner, Pete and Connie for their efforts making the picnic successful.

18. New Business: A. A nomination committee was formed of John Ziegler, Bill Vanase, and Tom Marshall.

Nominations for office will be accepted until our November meeting. Election will be held at the November general meeting.

B. Constitution review committee was formed of Jim Davis, Fay Ziegler, Larry Hylant and Don Kibler.

19. Special Announcement Karen Howard absent. Denise Bossio announced the October birthdays and anniversaries.

20. 50/50 Fay reported that $166.00 was collected and Gunner Heim was the winner of $83.00. 21. Motion to adjourn by Jim Davis, seconded by Don Kibler,

Upcoming Events November 4, 2018: 8th Annual All Chevrolet Fall Classic Space Coast Harley Davidson & High Performance Promotions Palm Bay, FL 11am to 4pm. Registration is $15.00 day of show and $10.00 pre-registration. All pre-registrations must be in by November 3th, no exceptions. To pre-register, please email your first and last name and car information year, make, model and color to Bob at pennsboro1j@cfl.rr.com. Please pay the day of the show CASH ONLY. Registration the day of the show is $15.00 10am to 2pm. Registration starting at 10am until 2pm. Awards will be at 3:30pm. This will be a show and shine Judged show. Music, giveaways, 50/50 drawing and vendors. Awards will be given in all categories Best in Show, Best Interior, Best Engine, Best Paint, Top 2 in each generation class for Corvettes and Camaros, largest club must be 10 cars or more, and furthest driven. November 10, 2018: Veteran’s Day Parade Downtown Melbourne, FL Sponsored by the American Legion #163. If interested, please contact Bill Vanasse. November 17, 2018: Rock n’ Rides Classic Car Show Rockledge High School, 220 Raider Road, Rockledge, FL Open to all cars. All proceeds to the class of 2019.

December 1, 2018: 18th Brevard County Corvette Clubs Toy Run BCSO and Canaveral Fire Dept. Escort from Eckler’s, 7980 Grissom Parkway, Titusville to the Port Rain or Shine. Meet at Eckler’s at noon. Escort leaves promptly at 2pm. Corvettes will be parked by generation; C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7 This event welcomes all Corvette owners, club affiliation is not necessary. Donations: 50/50! - One unwrapped toy or gift certificate (ages infant-17) – Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Women’s Center. The question is…What can you fit in your Vette?
