• SBRI is a structured process enabling the Public Sector to engage with Innovative Companies.

- Helping Departments fulfil their Objectives by using Innovation to achieve step function improvement s and increase value for money

- Supporting the development of Innovative Companies by providing a lead customer/R&D partner and funding

- SBRI is an implementation of the EU Pre-commercial Procurement framework

1. If you intend to make an application, you must first REGISTER for the

competition. (Remember: Registration ends 1 week prior to the competition close)

2.You will receive an email with your username and password along with a link

to the secure upload area. This email will also contain your application form

with unique application number.

3. For applications to multiple challenges : please contact the support team

([email protected]) after your first registration for additional

unique application forms for each application you intend to submit.

Application Assessment

What do they look for?

• Clear and concise answers

• The right amount of information

• not too much detail

• no assumptions

• Quantification and justification

• That the applicant has the right people with the right

bright idea and the means to exploit its potential

• Notification of result will be received by email on or before the

date stated in the timeline.

For successful projects:

• Financial project cost review and viability checks undertaken

• Contracts will be issued approximately 4 weeks after

notification

• The Project may not start until the organisation has received

and returned signed acceptance of Contract

It is really important to SSGP that any projects that come out of this SBRI call have:

• An identified public sector end user who is engaged and would be willing to work with you towards an operational service

• SSGP would be willing to support you in identifying end users if you want to share your initial project ideas with the team

• A clear business case with a realistic route to market

• As well as the expected project end paperwork, it is expected that SSGP will want to promote projects from this SBRI call in a similar manner e.g. case studies on our website and an end of projects showcase to a broad range of public sector users

• This is a great opportunity to present to a wider set of potential end users

• The case study needs to focus on the benefits, cost savings and results of the project and not necessarily the exciting science
